Pride and Prejudice and Zombies: Dawn of the Dreadfuls by Steve Hockensmith

This was a good read. I enjoyed every single page and this book really shows the love that Mr. Bennet has for his children, although they think that their father was just trying to embarrass them. Sometimes, it is as it is that parents love their children even though the younglings are not able to understand what it is just yet. I honestly loved the book, and I would probably read it again for a refresher in the near future.

I haven't seen the movie in at least a couple years or so, but this novelization made it all come back to me. I admit, it was a little underwhelming in the sense that it's mostly how things went down and what the characters said and not much is said about their feelings or such. Though, it is still a great book and I still love it!

THIS BOOK!
I swear, it just hooked me from start to finish. I'm not even kidding, it's so good. The angst that occurred and the potential for more angst that this has left me is absolutely unbearable. It makes me want to read through the next one to know how the characters will end up.
I think it is the steady tension that one will feel throughout the book that keeps the reader on their toes and I absolutely love that. In this book, we get to witness Jarahmael become a leader in his own right, and I think it's been the most interesting journey because we can see how the author unravels the main potential that he has. It unravels the potential in all of us to take control and be level-headed in tough situations. And we should. We should think objectively, I think, in most cases in our life and we have to have faith. We have to trust that even though we feel alone, we aren't. There are people who are going to be there for you.
The parts with Lillith were definitely intriguing. Grief is such a terrible feeling and even though I am personally against what she has done in thinking that Jarahmael had perished, I understand. People deal with grief in different ways, although I can say that this is not a good way to do so.
Much appreciation to Mr. Higgins for providing me with the book, and a big congratulations!

A fitting ending to the trilogy of our beloved Archangel Jarahmael!
This book is simply phenomenal. For me, it encapsulates the fact that most people, when it comes to their families, they are willing to do almost everything. They are willing to go through the pain, the anguish, the hurt if it meant that they could be together. That was the thing that resonated with me as I read through this book - particularly the parts wherein Jarahmael became ever so determined to save his beloved Lillith and to protect his son Enoch.
The second thing that stuck with me as I read the book would be the quote "Too much power sitting on any individual or small group was dangerous." Indeed, in our world as of today, we find this to be true. There are those that are corrupt in their schemes, seeking power only to themselves. In our status quo, there are those who hold too much power, and yet they do not use it for the benefit of the greater good. They make promises that are only being kept as words and are never being put into action, and I think that it's a problem.
I admire Jarahmael because of many things - his determination and persistence, his kindness to each and every one, his desires to keep the members of his family safe. There are many things that he had to go through in this series, and it just makes me sad and also angry that he had to endure all of that.
I love how thought-out the story in itself was; and I certainly love the little references that the author has given us, especially in this book. Every detail was certainly hashed out very well and does explain some things that may otherwise remain vague to us if the smallest details hadn't been planned.
The ending was a cliffhanger that I would love to explore more if given the chance, and I have to say that the involvement of Enoch in this story has done a lot, as he is one of my favorites now.
All in all, an amazing book and you best believe I have recommended this to my friends!
