Man, do I wish this book was a little bit more longer with a little bit more conflict but this is still good for a novella.

This was really good for how short it is.

Though I do wish we had more stepsisters problems resolved. I don’t think we’re going to get that many updates about what is happening in that realm but I am glad that someone was there to protect Roxy and also understand that sometimes you just need to be the bigger person when it comes to more than one person!

This was a struggle read for me. Maybe it’s because the buildup to the getting caught was so fast and the move on was also so fast that after everything happened and those almost 20 pages I was bored of them getting together again.

So I kind of wish we had the buildup of them throughout the five months before we had the caught in the act.

Because I will tell you that after 100 pages, I really didn’t want to read this anymore, but I really needed to finish because this was such a short book.

So I had been waiting for this book to come out ever since I read the ending of the first.

Maybe being a mood reader does have the challenges so when I started reading this book after maybe a month or two of it being out, I did get back into it, but felt slightly enthused.

Although I did find the overall story for both books to be good, I just felt slightly disappointed in my feelings about this book

I think it took me three months to actually finish this and I am happy that I did finish it. I’m just not happy that I couldn’t give it a four star or five.

And I think it has to do with the evil plans of the father and how they reacted to it. It just felt very Austin Powers, but serious. So it took me out of the enjoyment..

I recommend this book, yes! I recommend the duets because I think that these characters deserve to be known and I do love them!

Although this isn’t the worst MC romance that I’ve read it isn’t the best.

You think about the FMC would be and have more of a backbone, especially with what Cooper did to her and she does for the time being.

I just hate that it took something very traumatic and tragic for her to come around his thinking and get back together with him. He didn’t have to grovel because she was so shaken up about what happened to her. It just doesn’t seem right in the romance plot.

This was way better than I expected, and some of the betrays hit me in the gut.

I didn’t think that their grovel was just enough, especially since it’s not a cheating type of gravel. It was mainly a misinterpreted betray.

Again, I didn’t expect to thoroughly enjoy cheating romance that was not our main character cheating.

This revenge was very crazy very unrealistic, but it’s fiction. The only reason I haven’t given it a five is because I wish she was more graphic with the intimate scenes and a little bit longer with explanations of how things were happening.

But overall GOOD!!

For how short this was and how cringe the blur was, I thought this was going to be a very quick and bad read.

I was pleasantly surprised when I was really enthralled with what was going on in the story.

By no means is it believable in reality, but I was trying to figure out what was going to happen next and why certain things were happening.

Also having the romance be the back burner of the story was really good for me and it wasn’t a traditional happy ever after.

It did make sense with what the FMC was going through and how she felt after everything, but I am glad that she got her happy ever after.

* I definitely don’t want to ruin anything for anyone especially this early, but if you want to read a great romance. That in stages leads more and more desperate for some kind of happy ending. Yet you have to go through this grueling emotional angst filled journey. Come the end of it, you realize that they chose you and has been choosing you since they subconsciously realize that they loved you.*

I was really happy to receive this ARC. I had been in almost a month long reading slump. This is so angst filled. You get invested in the character’s fill in the emotions that sometimes you’ll just end up tearing up or crying without realizing that it’s happening.

Jude has made me feel so much through my reading journey with him that when he was feeling the heartbreak was feeling it and crying.

I never expected the I don’t even know what to call it. If you should call it the twist in the end, but I didn’t expect how everything played out. The ‘Why would you?’..and ‘How could you?’…just kept coming up.

You definitely need to check the trigger warnings because as a story progresses, you start seeing things that suggest certain situations, but doesn’t outright say things until it does. I haven’t felt this way since reading, Darling Venom, for various other reasons that aren’t the TW of the book. But the very visceral emotion that I had as the FMC character developed.

My first paragraph might seem a bit dramatic, but I think that’s what this book has still in me because I want you to understand that this is going to hurt, but by the end of it, I hope, you’ll love it just as much as I did. So please read it!!!
