Emily Wilde's Encyclopaedia of Faeries by Heather Fawcett

Too many mentions of Wendell having mistresses. This being my personal pet peeve, after four strikes, I simply couldn’t continue; besides, the story itself didn’t elicit any interest in me anymore to counteract the distaste the several mentions of mistresses left in my mouth.

I know this won’t be more than a 2 stars, and I don’t need to waste my time when I have so many other books to read.

Rupi Kaur's poetry is not for me.

The multiple time jumps kept pulling me out of the story. I, also, didn’t really care for the characters or the story itself which usually is already the case past the 20% mark. There are too many books I actually want to read for me to waste time on a book I am not enjoying.

If the MMC has the audacity to get a blowjob from a random woman for no other reason than being a perv because apparently seeing the FMC do nothing is a turn on, I will shamelessly DNF.

"All my favorite pieces are still out at the Wishing Well Ranch, along with a good chunk of my favorite people."

Same, Summer. Same.

"What the hell is the cowboy hat rule?"
"You wear the hat, you ride the cowboy."
*a few moments later*
"With one step forward, my hand darts out and I yank the saddle-brown cowboy hat off his head and put it on mine."

I have never wanted to be someone else as much as I wanted to be Summer in that scene. Serious question, where can I find a Rhett Eaton? Asking for a friend. (I am friend.) The things this man said...

"And anyone who makes you feel like you're anything less deserves Rhett Eaton's fist to their face. Or yours. You can hit back too, you know? I'll bail you out every fucking time."

Can we all unanimously agree that Kip is so hot. Definite DILF. I feel like he's not talked about nearly enough. The way he cared for Summer and was the best father he could be. I adore their relationship. He was so supportive of her and only ever wanted to see her happy. If I get my hands on his hat…

"I like her because she's good for you. ... I don't like her because she's smarter than me, and that's fucking annoying."

If mean, why hot? I love old sexy grumps, but make it old sexy cowboy grump and I start hyperventilating. I can't wait to read Cade’s book. Grumps always give me butterflies and I can't wait to dive into this particular grump. He’s so funny, and he doesn’t even realise it.

Can't not mention my babies Beau and Jasper. I don't know how Elsie Silver did it, but she single-handedly managed to make me fall head over heels in love with every freaking side character. I want to lock myself in my room for an entire week to binge the rest of the series.

"If you ever have something no one else wants, you gotta ask yourself where the value is."

Points for Daddy Eaton.
