Listened to it as audiobook on YouTube channel @readthisbook.

It is a simple and light read for times when we want happy endings and don't want to experience extreme emotions. It is simple but definitely not boring. I liked it.

This is the first book related to greek mythology that I read. Had no idea about the characters, googled a bit.

Liked the fact that its not focusing on the war or the hero in that war but the relationship he had with Patroclus from Patroclus' point of view.

I listened to it as audiobook. The narration by Frazer Douglas is good but I would have liked to read this book more than listening it. I feel that the intensity of writing reduces drastically while only listening to it rather than reading.

Today is 14th September ie. Hindi day and I'm so happy that after around 2 decades I have again started reading hindi novels and today I finished listening to this audiobook.

This is my first Premchandji's book and I just couldn't stop listening to this. This is fast paced, curiosity inducing and unputdownable.

Ratan is my favourite character from this book. Its pretty obvious I didn't like the end and what happens to Ratan in the end. But overall I loved and enjoyed the experience of listening to this audiobook.

Its a good book but I don't think I like this genre of books where author is describing how a place and its people were in past and how it has all changed now. Bomaby Balchao was another book on the similar lines but with more stories related to people and focusing more on certain characters as compared to this book. But I liked both the books. Those were a good one time reads.

I loved Lakshmi. Such a head strong character. I just want to hold on to her and don't want to let the space this character has taken in my head go. I found this character so relatable, though nothing similar in me and her.

I felt the characters were very strong but there was plot or even a very strong story as such but still I felt like turning the next page to find out what happens next.

I am thoroughly disappointed by the fact that there was no revenge taken in the end and the fate Parvati decided for Lakshmi was accepted by her. So dissatisfying.

I heard the audiobook of this on Libby narrated by Sneha Mathan. I might want to read the next book of this series some time later, not sure though.
