This is more like a 3.5.  And it’s mostly Nico & Elena’s chemistry & love that gets it there for me.  Danielle Lori built the sexual tension btwn them perfectly, IMHO.  I’m not intensely fond of either of them but they work well together.  Nico is pretty dang hot though.
The plot was alright, but nothing too groundbreaking.  I didn’t love what Elena’s big secret/plan turned out to be.  It was pretty anticlimactic and the dispute btwn her & Nico was super quickly resolved which made the whole thing seem pretty pointless.  Just a way to like, have some sort of betrayal in the storyline.
It was mostly an enjoyable read, I only lost interest in the last 10-15% of the book.  A relatively solid mafia romance.

The writing in this just ain’t it for me.  And Morana who is supposedly a genius actually comes off as quite dumb.  And the scenes that are clearly meant to be building the tension and showing the chemistry between her & Tristan feel very forced and bland.
