Had to return to library. Also felt like the most useful parts of the book were the lists that could (and possibly had been) Instagram posts. Absolutely unacceptable amount of ableist language (like "crippling") used to describe mental illness, from a mental health professional.

A delight! YANKED me out of a reading slump! I would die/switch to room temp water/wake up at 5am for Vera. There were a few moments where the consistency of a POV felt like it broke down a bit for me, but each of the characters had remarkably unique voices and arcs and I normally hate flipping through this many character POVs in a book, so for it to not bother me at all means I really appreciate Sutanto's writing. I feel an urgent need to finally pick up Dial A for Aunties.

I literally do not have the words to express what a fking BANGER this is. Lives up to its cover and its blurbs. Brilliant. Gorgeous. Accessible to someone who hates theory lol. I feel very tender about this book, but also obnoxiously enthusiastic about it.
