An intriguing New York crime story based on real events and characters in the late 1800's. A woman's fight for survival and protection of her family is misinterpreted and she is charged with a murder. I would have liked to see the trial go on a bit longer with more witness accounts and more overall involvement from the daughters in the story which Horan said she left out (but I understand not wanting the book to have been too long). Nonetheless, I enjoyed it.

I'm a sucker for any historical fiction literature and this was a good read for my morning commute into work!

This book tests the limits of virtual reality gaming and how much society can be consumed by it. This is by far one of the best modern YA fantasy series since The Hunger Games! Full of dramatic and sometimes chilling plot twists with a little romance thrown in to keep things spicy. I cannot wait to see a movie adaptation of this book/series.
