One Week in Paradise by Anise Starre

- Brothers best friend, fake dating and one bed.... mhm hmm sign me up. The amount of aesthetically pleasing videos I seen for this story had me running to read when it was released.
- Bailey is a influencer who's going through a crisis. She's really sweet and I felt for her. Anxiety be winning frfr but then she goes on a trip with Caspian and everything changes. Cash is really good at affirming her on the trip. He is a great listener and was actually a really good sport about a lot of things.
- Overall this was a great debut novel. It was really cute and had a few swoon worthy moments. However it was too short for me. Im not sure how Cash was so in love because we didn't get much backstory. Then Im not sure how Bailey fell in love because we just got a time jump to the epilogue. It gave novella vibes because of the flow of things. The dialogue between the characters was good though enjoyed that. Then the whole book was just baileys thoughts we didn't get Cash thoughts until the end. I would have loved to get more of Cash so I could feel the love he said he had for years.
- If your wanting a short fluffy romance in between books definitely recommend.

- This my favorite Skye moon book so far! Love me a good friends to lovers with a funny friend group and a little steam.
- Artemis or Temi lol is a nurse at Mercy West (ok greys anatomy) she is obviously very caring and nurturing. She loves astronomy and I loved how she was a nerd but not in a cringey way. I enjoyed her character so much yall. Casmair was a ladies man and he surely had me🤣. He owns a gym (love a business man) and hes a boxer mhm hmm. His humor was definitely my cup of tea and his personality was definitely giving BDE I was livingggg.
- This book ties in with another series that I didn't read but you don't have to bc I still enjoyed this book. Anyway the friendship and family relationships were sooooo good! I think thats a big reason I enjoyed it so much. I stayed up all night until I finished it was that serious!

Oul im irritated lol. I really liked the first book so i was super excited for this. Let me down big time. I enjoyed the representation as always but her character was annoying. Then i feel like the story was dragging in certain places. Didn't like the ending either. Wanted more!

- Im so upset. I should have waited. This book was working my nerves and I think it mainly had to do with the fact that its no HEA for my Big Guy in this book.
- Now Eden... Eden baby im gonna touch your hand when I say this... when I said STAND TF UP I meant that. Eden is so far beyond a people pleaser I literally felt sick. She let everyone in her family and life in general walk all over her. My resentment for her family runs DEEP! The crazy part is she is a MMA fighter. So I was tew excited like yes she gonna be the perfect match for Hakeem... I was wrong. Hakeem ofc my silent king🧎🏾♀️🧎🏾♀️🧎🏾♀️. Im honestly so proud of him for pouring into they relationship like he did. He has a traumatic childhood but he actually turned his life around and owns a security company. He didn't grow up around love and care but he tried so hard in this book to give that to Eden.
- Now Eden you get no sympathy from me. You made your choice baby and now you need to stand on it. I definitely had to remind myself a few times this is a book because I was getting so heated like me and Eden know each other. Bye this book is so triggering! Y'all ever read a book irritated asf but still rooting for the characters?? That was me. I hope we get an HEA in the next book or some type of redemption bc Hakeem deserves it!

- I loved this book! So profound like this was just a great piece of literature.
- I was literally shook when I started this book because one of the very first things Bell Hooks touches on is all the different dimensions of love. Sheesh.... its become so clear that I along with so many others have tainted that word. It is not love that we are showing but care. Thats ok though this book just reinforces the idea that its ok to actively seek love. Its ok to seek self love, romantic love, and even platonic love. I took my time with this book and digested this info because I want to remember how I felt while reading long after Ive finished. I also loved how vulnerable Bell Hooks was about her own experiences with love.
- If you haven't already Id definitely recommend.

This was a super cute debut novel. Loved the hispanic representation. Loved the billionaires brothers best friend trope, fake dating, and forced proximity tropes. The storyline felt a little odd but by the end it tyed together. I related to the fmc because Im also the baby of my family and transitioning to a young adult can feel awkward lol. I also really enjoyed the fluff, I know some ppl dont so be aware this book has a lot of that lol.

Surprisingly I really enjoyed this book. I say surprisingly because I almost DNFed this book. It turned out to be so cute. Great ending. Very inclusive. Sweet and wholesome fmc. The friend group was great. Not sure if this is a romance though more women's fiction either way great KU read.
