Very silly, also entertaining, could have done without some of the storylines, but liked following most of them

I have got to stop giving TJR books a chance, proven again that she’s not for me. I think it’s how the dialogue is written. I just don’t enjoy it. The “people don’t actually talk to each other like this” of it all was impossible for me to get past. And probably other things I can’t quite articulate. Harry was the only redeemable character.

LOVED this one. A mystery novel plus the drama of life, love, and growing up. The different characters and how they all related to each other were so interesting. It’s a long book for sure, but I could have spent even more time in this world. Hopeful and heartbreaking and wonderful.

Classic Blake Crouch. He’s got his formula, and it works. Just suspend disbelief and enjoy the ride.

So good! Light read, but highly engrossing and exciting. Blew through this one because I couldn’t put it down. Just a fun one.

A super unique read - I loved the blend of personal experience and clinical research. I feel like I learned a lot about the condition and spectrum of sociopathy. It was both engrossing and informative and I really enjoyed reading it!

I think I don’t actually like Wendell very much. The storyline was a bit simpler than the first two in the series. Poe forever!

It took me a bit to get into this one, but I ended up enjoying it a lot in the end. Not extremely plot driven, though there is some. Mostly a meditation on what it feels like to live in a world where you don’t know how to live.

I understand why people like this book, but I guess the prose > plot wasn’t for me. I didn't really understand why they were drawn to each other in the first place, which made it hard to follow their romance throughout the book. I wanted to like it more than I did.

Holy cow I hated this book. Would have DNF’ed if it wasn’t for book club. Everyone was so annoying and I’ve never wanted a MC to NOT get a happy ending so badly. Woof.
