I’ve never read a book like this before! It was unique and endearing, and I really did find myself rooting for Margo. I really loved this one.

Depressing. Infuriating. But extremely well researched and presented. Lots of data to drive the points home we’re already familiar with. Probably worth re reading.

Well written, but the YA feel bumped it down a bit in my final rating. An interesting portrayal of how life goes on, especially for teenagers/YAs, even in the face of devastating family situations. I wish I had felt more connected to the characters. Didn’t end up feeling invested in the story.

This was a super enjoyable read. Just a touch simplistic at times, but overall I really enjoyed the narrative and the characters. The final storyline became more compelling toward the end, and I thought the ending was satisfying.

I wanted to like this more than I did, but Daphne was a difficult character to like. I wasn’t convinced by her & Miles’s initial attraction to each other aside from them sharing the same space. I never really got what made them fall for each other, either. I really liked Miles until he messed up and only had “but I love you!” to fall back on. Do better and go to therapy, my guy. But it was engaging enough and I did make it to the end, so 3.5 stars.

Different perspectives woven together really well. I felt invested in each character’s story and how they all provided different information you wouldn’t get from a single character. Beautifully written and a great narrative of what it’s like to be an immigrant in America or the descendent of.

Entertaining! I didn’t guess the final twist, which is always great. Really enjoyed this one.

I really loved this one right up until the end. It was too abrupt with too many plot holes for me to feel satisfied. I was engrossed the rest of the way through, though.

Quick and easy, not the best book I’ve ever read but I did want to keep reading to see what happened!
