I ate this book up and really enjoyed it in the beginning but after about 100 pages it just frustrated me for some reason? I can’t even really say why, I just did not vibe with this book at all
One reason I can think of however is: Theo needs to grow a fucking spine and some balls 🙃 “but I have a duty and responsibility” stfu man
Idk I just hate how he went from “yearning” for Imogen to then go back to the princess and not take how Imogen feels and how he supposedly feels for her into consideration at all!! I get that he has a duty and he doesn’t want to start a war but then there were moments where he would take more care of how Hallie felt than Imogen???? Makes no sense. To me their romance had not real yearning AT ALL because if this man really felt about Imogen like he said he did then he would end that engagement STAT no matter the consequences!!! But maybe that’s just my preference when it comes to mmc’s in books

This book made me feel EVERYTHING!! This was so frustrating and infuriating I want to throw up
There wasn’t a single page where I wasn’t feeling some type of overwhelming emotion
I hate this book with every fibre of my being but absolutely adore it at the same time
I didn’t want to put this book down a single time and it completely consumed my mind, I don’t even really know what to say

Toven and Larissa frustrated me A LOT but that might be a me issue and not a book issue. for me it doesn’t work if the mmc is going at it with others while he’s supposed to be yearning after the fmc!!! Like that’s not yearning!!! I need the mmc to not be able to look at another woman because the fmc exist!!! That really frustrated me sometimes
