The only real reaction I have to this book is…. Meh? I have no real feelings towards this book whatsoever (she says and then continues to write a long review lol)
It was definitely bingeable, I couldn’t put it down and there were parts that I really enjoyed but I also wasn’t super invested
I can see why others might absolutely love this and I can see why others dislike it. For me this book just simply exists
Idk I flew through this book but I don’t know if I’d recommend it

Luca being unwillingly engaged to someone else for SEVEN MONTHS and being just like “.. well whatever, can’t really have Naomi so I’ll go with it” was kinda weird ngl
I think a few thing should’ve been done differently and then this could’ve been an amazing book. The premise is really intriguing and I loved the format and the idea of seeing their relationship when they were younger through the letters and Naomi going to all these lengths to find Luca… but the execution wasn’t that good. There was no real chemistry between the characters and I honestly didn’t even care that much if they end up together or not
I’m kinda sad because this idea had soooo much potential and I’m bummed that I didn’t love this

I enjoyed this one and the first ~40% were great. But I thought this would be just as good as the first book in this series and sadly for me it didn’t live up to that
It was still a great book and I’ll definitely read the rest of this series but this one was just too long with too little plot. What was the point of having Piper’s ex husband keep calling and texting her if there would be no conflict and no real reason behind it? (Also piper kinda needs to learn to stfu… we get it, your ex husband is the worst and he treated you like shit but you don’t need to bring him up every 5 seconds)
I was kind of bored after a while tbh so I’m a bit disappointed
I did love that this book also had a focus on being a woman in a male dominated field

I honestly didn’t expect to love this book as much as I did!! This was amazing in every single way and I loved every second of reading this
Emmy is such a role model for every little girl on the planet and Maverick was so down bad for her I loved it (also a tattooed hockey player has always been my favourite type of mmc). I can’t wait to read the other books in this series 🥹
I despise that this is just fictional and women continue not to have a place in the NHL in the near future 😭 that moment when most of the women in the stadium were wearing Emmy’s jersey?? SOBBING
This book was amazing in all other aspects as well but I loved that this had such a big focus on being a woman in a man’s world especially when it comes to sports (without taking away from the romance plot)

DID NOT FINISH: 17%

I hated every single thing about this book and the fmc was INSUFFERABLE if I had to read even a single page more I might have lit my kindle on fire

All I kept thinking while reading this book was “omg these are Niko’s parents” I might be a bit too obsessed with God of Fury at this point (still really really enjoyed this one though)
