Not a lot happened in this book story wise but we do finally get to explore Nadir and Lor together and see them build the foundation of their relationship. We also learn more about the history of Ouranos (which was long overdue and very necessary)
I really enjoyed this as a second book, while it was a bit slow sometimes because not a lot happened, I think it was a necessary book so that we can see more story development in the next one (hopefully)
I thought it was kind of interesting to see the fake dating trope in this fantasy setting and I loved the chemistry between Nadir and Lor
But I do have to say, Nadir kind of annoyed me sometimes. I hope that changes when they finally get together and we see another side of him that we’ve started seeing glimpses of in this book
I should’ve just stopped reading this series after corrupt and accepted that this one is not for me. The books in this series are all the exact same and it’s so repetitive. They are just so fucking weird and the more I think about it the less I like the other books
Why is every single one of these books in this series filled with a weird threesome/group sex scene that is SO unnecessary to the plot and just makes the character dynamics weird?????????? Is it just for the sake of smut??? Because I love some good smut as much as the next girl but wtf 😭
There is no way this needed to be 700 pages because most of it was complete garbage and just plain weird
I’m literally so confused because these mmc‘s are just little boys throwing temper tantrums and then acting like they’re the baddest coolest motherfuckers on the planet „she’s the reason I went to prison“ no your own fucking actions sent you to prison. Stop whining and grow the fuck up
This was very predictable but I don’t give a single shit because I loved every second!!
The tribute/trial story line has been done a million times but I think it was done really well in this book and I enjoyed it a lot
I loooove Lor, she could be a bit annoying but I think that made her a bit more real and a less “perfect” fmc for this type of book
I’m very very curious about Nadir, I can’t wait to read more about him and find out more
But I have to say, Gabriel kind of annoyed me. I don’t really know what kind of character vibe he was supposed to give but I didn’t like him
I get what people mean when they say that this reminded them a lot of throne of glass (negatively, as in it’s sort of a copy/paste of it (which in my opinion also isn’t true at all)) and I think honestly when going in this romantasy direction, being unique is a bit hard because all of these plot lines have been done a million times before. But I loved throne of glass and I loved this book so I don’t really care
I knew this was gonna be another tamlin situation and I love being right lol. I mean by giving us Nadir’s pov it is kind of obvious that he will end up being her love interest but I still thought there was something really fishy about Atlas
Ok idk, I somehow stayed up late to read this and it had me in a chokehold… BUT I don’t think it was any good?
I was kind of invested and I can see why some people might love this book but to me it was so predictable and so SLOW
like it was only 300 pages but it felt like at least 600
This has everything I love in a romantasy and I expected to love it but for some reason it was not my cup of tea
The romance in this was so weird because it had literally no development, it just went from not being there at all to them suddenly needing and wanting each other without any rhyme or reason

And there were so many other things that made literally no sense, at some point I just started accepting that nothing makes any sense and I shouldn't question it
Screaming crying throwing up. This was EVERYTHING. Once again the twisted sisters have pulled me into their world and I’m OBSESSED. I am so so happy to be back in this magical universe and I’m so ready to get my heart torn out and broken in a million ways
How am I supposed wait for the next book that ending was fucking insane 😭😭😭😭
The first 150 pages were a bit rough tbh, most of it was just action non stop and I had no idea wtf was going on but it was SO worth it!! This felt a bit too long sometimes during the middle but I think that was necessary for the world building considering it’s the first book in the series. Even as someone who’s read zodiac academy and is already familiar with the magic in this universe, the world works so differently in this story, I needed that world building to understand what’s going on
Also “BLUE MEANS YOU” I’m sobbing?? (Zodiac academy girlies will get it) I already love Galomp, I hope to see more of him in future books
(I do have to say I listened to a few chapters of the audiobook and it was terrible because I hate the female narrator)
This was everything I wanted and more 😭 I missed being in this world so much and even though Tella was my least favourite mc from Stephanie Garber’s books I actually really enjoyed her in this one
This was whimsical and magical and festive and literally perfect for a festive caraval novella 🥹

This little short story collection was so fun and festive!!!
Well this was certainly a short story but there’s not a lot more I can say about this tbh … it was cute I guess
