First I’d like to say a big thank you to Stephanie Archer’s team for giving me an arc of this book! 💖
I really really loved this book 🥹
The miscommunication in friends to lovers books can be so frustrating sometimes and while it definitely was in some parts here, I think it was necessary for this story to develop and it didn’t annoy me as much in this book as it usually tends to. So if that’s something you don’t really like in friends to lovers stories definitely give this one a shot, I think it was done really well

The tension between these two 🥵🥵
I looooved the spicy scenes because they were meaningful to the plot, there was the perfect balance between smut and plot and I thought they were really well done 🥵
I don’t want to spoil anything so I’m not gonna say too much but Hayden’s present for Darcy’s birthday??? CRYING 😭 that was so adorable. And her party??? Hayden, the man that you are 😩😩😩😩 He is so down bad for Darcy it’s absolutely adorable, he’s now one of my book boyfriends because he’s a hot hockey player that treats Darcy like the queen she is. I need my own Hayden NOW.
The Fake Out is still my favourite in this series but this is a close second!!
Im willing to bet all my money these two break up within 2 months
This started out so good and I usually love Lauren Asher’s writing but Noah gives me the biggest ick and I genuinely hated the second half of the book like no thank you
I don’t read romance books to then read about a man who is nothing but a sleazy asshole the whole book and a woman who’s gullible as fuck

This wasn’t what I expected at all but that’s 100% on me because I didn’t read the blurb 💀
I really liked the enemies-to-lovers in this because I think it was done really well with the way they actually really disliked each other but there still was all this pent up sexual tension
The more I think about this book the more I love it

There were parts that I absolutely loved in this book where I was crying my eyes out but there sadly were also many parts where I was bored so idk
I might just not have been in the mood for it and need to give it another shot to properly give it the love it probably deserves

Reread: this book feels like such a setup for the third book so it’s a bit boring throughout but I still love it with everything in me
That ending will forever be the best ending of any book that’s ever been written and you cannot convince me otherwise
Even knowing it was coming I was literally sitting here SCREAMING because that ending is amazing

Holy shit, I get it now!!!!! I’m soooo happy I gave this book another shot!! I dnfed it at 30% a year ago because I just wasn’t feeling it and didn’t like it but I can’t understand that at all now???
I can now fully understand what all the hype is about
This was the perfect witchy, slightly creepy (at least for someone that’s very easily scared) book with lots of spice
It’s finally over. These three stars are purely for my character attachment, Seth and Caleb, for the fact that I read all 1200 pages and so that it is finally, finally over. The last few chapters luckily made it worth it because seeing these characters finally get their happily ever after healed something in me (especially chapter 117, I’m crying happy tears)
I fucking love this series. I was so obsessed when I started reading it. But when I say that I’m only talking about book 1-6 because these last few books were absolutely unnecessary and I just didn’t want to read them. I only felt the need to read them to finally get some closure and because I hate not finishing book series
I have a big emotional attachment to these characters … that doesn’t mean I need the POV of everyone and their mothers because I simply do not care
Getting the twins’, the heirs’ and Orion’s POV would’ve been more than enough and convinced the last few books could’ve been put into one single 600 page book. It would’ve definitely saved me some time and energy. There were so many chapters that I just skimmed because I genuinely didn’t care for all the fight/ war scenes or the pov’s of some characters (*cough* Lionel *cough*)
Now one could ask themselves: why tf did I actually read all 1200 pages of this? The answer for me is simple: like I said before, I’m extremely attached to these characters … more specifically I needed to see Caleb and Seth sort their shit out and I’m happy I got to see that… the rest not so much
Also I listened to parts of this on audiobook and I regret it. I absolutely despised the narrators I’m so sorry but I cringed the whole time 💀
