The fact that I finished all 1250 pages of this is enough for this to be at least 3 stars BUT I only read this whole thing because I absolutely loved the books prior to this and I adore the characters
But let me say there is no way that this needed to be 1200 pages long
There were so many chapters from povs I didn’t give a rats ass about. I do NOT care to read about Lionel’s ass and what he’s up to! I also don’t give a shit about Francesca or Milton or Mildred??? So unnecessary
I love Seth and Caleb with my whole heart, I’d read 10 books just about those two BUT the miscommunication between them makes me want to SCREAM and throw my kindle out the window! I was already so frustrated in the last 3(?) books just fucking TALK TO EACH OTHER
So there were quite a few things that really frustrated me and there were pages I honestly just skimmed
However…. Like I said I adore these characters and I really do want to find out how everything plays out soo yes I will be reading all 400 pages of book 8.5 and all 1000(+?) pages of the last book
No words, just picture me hysterically crying in a corner hugging my knees to my chest
This was such a beautiful ending to the Bergman sibling series
I had high expectations for Viggo’s story and Chloe Liese delivered!
This isn’t my favourite of the series because there are a few that just hold such a special place in my heart and I don’t think anything could top them but I absolutely loved this one nonetheless
I think it was a very beautiful love story and the perfect conclusion for the series
The diabetes rep was very well done. It gave me a deeper understanding of what it looks like to live with this disease and I could really see myself in Viggo and his ADHD.
Chloe Liese is the queen when it comes to representation of chronic illnesses and neurodivergence
I love that she gives you an insight of what it’s like to live and struggle with certain conditions without making it the main focus so that it’s still an emotional romance book
Tallulah reading one of Viggo’s favourite book, simply because he loves it made me so emotional 😭
The Bergman Brothers Summit?? SOBBING CRYING SCREAMING THROWING UP
These men are the least toxic men to ever exist, i wish men like that existed in real life
The ending alone made me want to give this a million stars but that’s just because i was an emotional wreck the last 50 pages
I enjoyed this book in general and I like the authors writing but this was kind of boring and Valentina really fucking annoyed me
This also felt very insta-lovey which is funny considering this is supposed to be an enemies to lovers story
I couldn’t feel the supposed hatred and because of that there wasn’t any tension
I will still be reading the rest of this series because this was in no way a “bad” book but it just wasn’t as good as the first one and I couldn’t stand Valentina
This started of a bit slow but once I was intrigued I was INTRIGUED
This was so so so good and soooo thrilling, it kept me on the edge of my seat, begging me to turn to the next page but without making me feel anxious and scared
I don’t think anything will ever be as good as agggtm for me but this came very close and I loved it more than five survive
The first ~40 % of this book made me want to throw my kindle out of my window and then run down to the street to then stomp on it repeatedly
The angst in this was REAL i wasn’t sure if I had to dnf this several times even though I was so invested because I didn’t know if my heart could take it MY GOD
This book had me in a fucking chokehold
The only thing that didn’t make sense to me and that bothered me was that Ares’ switch from “loving” Hannah and then Raven felt so suddenly and unnatural
I was hoping it would end in the usual “it‘s always been you” but it didn’t feel like that AT ALL in the beginning
It could’ve been 50-80 pages shorter though, it started getting a bit repetitive at a certain point
This book was so incredibly bad but I still ate it up and left no crumbs
