I think this might be one of the best fantasy books I’ve ever read because what the actual fucking fuck??????????
The plot twists in this were AMAZING!!! There were quite a few that I did not see coming at allllllll
The story was so unique and had me in such a chokehold
Even though this had allllll the usual tropes (for example one of my faves: one bed🤭🤭) this didn’t feel repetitive or like any other fantasy book! I didn’t really know what was gonna happen at any point and I absolutely loved that

I can’t wait to see more of Stark in the next book because let me tell you THAT IS MY MAAAAANNS 😩🧎🏼‍♀️‍➡️

I need book two immediately 😭

Well this was certainly entertaining

I don’t know what it is about EmHen‘s writing, like I actually cannot put it into words, but it gets me every time. Her way with words is just so so beautiful and it pulls me in every single time. It feels like a warm hug when you need it most or like a hot cup of cocoa on a cold winter’s day. Just something so comfy and loving idk how else to describe it
She said that this book is different from her others and that is definitely true and the reason I didn’t love it as much as her other ones. I did find myself being a bit bored when we got the chapters that were solely around Margaret‘s story. If that hadn’t been the case this definitely would’ve been  five stars for me. Still an absolutely phenomenal book and at this point I’m convinced I’ll never not love a book EmHen writes

Ok lmao nevermind I hate Jeremiah.. to anyone on team Jeremiah: are y’all okay???
I love the vibes from this series but idk if that’s just because I love the vibes from the show because I watched it before reading this
Because tbh reading the second and third book was just frustrating as fuck

Getting Conrad‘s pov did what I thought it would and now I can be back to being a Conrad girlie but tbh I don’t like any of these characters anymore 😭 I think it would’ve been better if the author made the characters a tiny bit more redeemable bc my god I can’t just forget the horrible way Con acted in the books before this (idc for what reason) and don’t even get me started on Jeremiah 💀
And Belly??? Girlie didn’t have an ounce of self respect or she wouldn’t have settled for any of them (not that she’s so great, she also got pretty annoying at some point)

At this point I don’t want Belly to end up with either Conrad or Jeremiah lmao
Jeremiah deserves better than Belly and Belly deserves better than Conrad
While watching the show I was a Conrad girlie all the way but reading these books I lowkey hate him 💀 very curious to see if that changes when I see his pov in the third book
