The ending got extremely bring and I lost all my interest.
Nevertheless, I love the setting, the book puts me in an immediate lust for summer.
Elio and Olivers story sooo intimate i love that!!!

Visitation by Jenny Erpenbeck
Had to read it for class, specifically German class and I usually really enjoy reading books for school, this time that just wasn’t the case.
I seriously despise everything about this book.
They were waaaay too many reputations which just didn’t make any sense, as well as the unnecessary eye to detail. Both of these aspects of the book turned it into an incredibly boring piece.
The fact that Erpenbeck didn’t use names for the characters most of the time made things way too complicated and I kept getting things mixed up.
Upon many other points of critic I have in my mind, the last one I want to add here is the (also) unnecessary amount of sexual violence. It didn’t do anything for the characters, the plot, or even vibe. Nothing. Just some disturbing scenes.
