I loved the concept of what this book was trying to accomplish, but the way it was written just wasn't for me. I'm learning very quickly that I'm not a thriller girl. I absolutely recommend it to people who are interested in Native culture and/or the opioid epidemic!

Love Edgar Alen Poe, and I'm a sucker for a good retelling, and some gross body horror doesn't hurt, either. Easton, Angus, the whole gang was fascinating to follow even through a short read. Highly recommend if you want something a little icky!

Absolutely heartbreaking. I followed the saga online, as captivated as most of the internet was, and I'm so proud of Shari for finding the courage to not only heal from her trauma, but to share the story with the rest of us while still maintaining her younger siblings' privacy. This is an incredible look into not only the effects of family vlogging on children, but how easy it is to fall into a world of religious extremism. Highly recommended to anyone even vaguely curious about the 8 Passengers case. What an eye opening experience.

One of the best books I’ve ever read. I don’t know how to explain it. The characters, the stories within the story, the ritual itself, everything was exactly what I wanted and almost needed to read. Disgusting, disturbing, and incredible.

All I want to do is reread House of Leaves. Very similar vibes. Love me a good evil house story!
