Vond dit echt heel matig. Bleef oppervlakkig en ging nergens heen, en sure, soms is dat juist de bedoeling om aan te tonen dat de hoofdpersoon ook uitzichtloos door het leven gaat maar dan moet je dat alsnog goéd schrijven. Jammer.

Fascinating read. So much has changed in the publishing world over the past 80 years, yet some things are still exactly the same now as she describes them being in the fifties through eighties. Second half about a few different authors, some famous (Jean Rhys, VS Naipaul), some not, that she worked with was also interesting.
