I absolutely loved this, it was a brilliant re-imagining of the characters with a modern feel without being too much and great twists throughout!

I'm not sure what I was expecting when I picked up this book but regardless those expectations were blown out of the water. I've just finished the book and my brain hurts in the best way possible.

This is a good book that tells a relatively straightforward story in an interesting way. One thing that struck me, in particular, was towards the end, realizing how young the character was that put a lot of the entire plot into perspective for me that was a very nice moment that I enjoyed. The magic and world of this book seem grounded and interesting, able to be built upon if needed or left at the very basics without losing any of its charms.

It was not what I was expecting but not drastically so. Its good for what it was but not my cup of tea, its a slice of life from the perspective of someone coming to terms and understanding their sexuality and it does that very well, there is just little plot to the story apart from the emotional growth/progress of the main character.

A great continuation of the first book and I will definitely need to re-read again to comprehend everything going around Rohan and Helms Deep and all that, but other than some confusing characters that I get mixed up a little easier it is quite wonderful sorry with a wide variety of depth.
