This is my favorite book. I read it in 2019 and it’s 2022 and it’s still my favorite. That is such a bold statement from a reader because we don’t have favorites and sure there are heartbreaking and amazingly written books but your honor I want this one. 5/5 comfort book nothing compares. I have reread it countless of times. talented, brilliant, incredible, amazing, show stopping, spectacular, never the same, totally unique, completely not ever been done before. okay on a more serious note I loved the mixed media of emails. Also Casey is the only author that can use millennial/genz slang without it being cringy. I laughed out loud so many times and I cried. Also I was invested in the side plots like the election. I adored June/Pez/Nora who are definitely a thing. I also adored all the side characters like Zahra and Cash and Shaan and Amy and Ellen and Rafael. Alex and his bisexuality and his anxiety are both so well written. The portrayal of Henry’s grief and Bea’s addiction was so realistic and touching. Also it’s a highly idealistic America. I don’t care it’s fiction give it to me. The amount of fanfiction I’ve consumed: embarrassing.
