Honey & Spice by Bolu Babalola

Loveddddd this! There was a lot happening at the end, and I wanted a bit more resolution about Kiki and Malakai’s relationship, but I lovedddd it. So cute, great chemistry among all characters, really great portrayal of female friendships and community.

Liked this one a lot more than the first! But wow…. This man needed to be released from his trauma from being pretty. I did enjoy the characters and the anticipation this book set up.

Only thing I didn’t like was that Fox stayed a fisherman. I feel like they would’ve done well moving back to California together!

Crown of Midnight by Sarah J. Maas
Did not finish book. Stopped at 48%.

Didn’t love the first one and wanted to give the second a try but I think these books are SO repetitive and obvious in their writing. Wish I could be a part of the full Sarah J. Maas universe, but I just don’t think I can continue with this series and it makes me hesitant to try Crescent City as well.
