It was a little cringe at times but I managed to get through it. Very much that bully romance vibe, a little like zodiac academy without the fantasy.
Not the best written thing I’ve ever read but it was easily read and had that “will it won’t it” work out troupe

It’s a your average murder mystery. No actual murder until halfway through so quite a lot of building up. Wasn’t necessary a bad thing but it did make me question where the story was going. Felt like I just listened to one character talk about different dinning room meals for most of the book.

Not necessary to read this to follow the series. I feel like it could have honestly been summed up with just as much effect in 50 pages. I don’t really get the tiktok hype

I really liked this story. I enjoyed the fact Frances journal from she was a teen is read alongside the present story. It gave interesting flash backs and clues which foreshadowed the present story conclusion but in a way that did not make it too easily predicted which was nice.

I didn’t enjoy this one as much as the first trilogy set. It felt a little different I think because Darrows character seems to shift. It was also a slower start to get into the actual action compared to the earlier books. But this is more of a builder book I would say to set the scene for the next direction on from the ending of the first trilogy
