I really wanted to like this and thought it has merits. I learned a lot and it has enhanced and deepened my thinking about the role the internet plays in our lives. At the end of the day, however, it doesn’t really feel like there was much point to this book. It got such a strong start but then feels as if it wasn’t long enough to be a standalone book so the author had to just keep writing. It got somewhat rambly and unstructured in the second half and was left feeling unsatisfied with the lack of conclusion.
