The illustrations were stunning, and I loved how the story felt like I was reading a fairytale with a slightly modern vibe- kind of like Princess Bride or Ella Enchanted.

Okay, the overall theme/metaphor about grief, moving on, and letting go did get me in the end, but for most of the book the story felt a bit repetitive.

The tropes in this installment were not personally as fun for me as the other two books, but I still had a really good time, and at this point I will check out anything Kimberly Lemming writes.

Overall, I thought the writing and plot was much improved compared to XOXO, and I've always preferred the second chance romance trope than the first love trope. I do think the pacing suffered a bit as every dramatic thing that could have happened, happened all in the last third of the story.

I enjoyed this even more than the first book. I liked how the world building was expanded upon and that we got to know our three main characters more. I do feel like the ending was a little rushed but overall it was a really solid sequel.

I think this is my favorite book from Adiba Jaigirdar yet. I really liked how the author let our main character be realistically flawed and learn from her mistakes throughout the story. I do feel the love triangle was a bit of a miss for me as I wasn't super invested in who Shireen was going to end up with. That being said I did vastly prefer the endgame love interest over the other one.
