enjoyed it. thought the weird romance subplot was a bit wack, but the atmospheric writing and world building made up for it. ending was odd, but fitting. gaiman’s talent is insane.

honestly this flip flopped between well written and tumblr shit post (which threw me off so bad) so i really cant say it’s good. the insta-love was also… Not it for me. but i had a jolly old time even if a massive demon c*ck was in front of me as i tried valiantly to stay nonchalant while also tilting my screen as far away from the poor old man sitting next to me on the plane. worse bc i had no idea it was spicy until it was quite literally staring me in the face. sounds like miss girl got the fuck of her life though so i cant really blame her. so heH

we should just let james mcavoy narrate everything actually. i don’t think i wouldve enjoyed this half as much if he wasn’t playing the titular character. all the narrators were brilliant and brought such life into the story. loved it

Did not finish book. Stopped at 44%.
sorry guys i couldn’t do it. no hate to the author i just don’t see myself enjoying it rn? it’s a bit too idyllic for my tastes ++ i disliked the characterization of rama… felt a bit too far off from the og epic to be a faithful retelling idk

what a heartwarming book. if i were to describe it as a disb i love, it would be like the first sip of sinigang on a rainy morning, straight tl the core of you with its warmth. the descriptions of food wete so vivid that i went and made myself katsu curry immediately! it might not have had much plot, but i still think it was wonderful. tender and sweet, and so beautiful.
