I don't know where to start with my review... The writing was beautiful. At times I found myself struggling slightly to follow along, but I believe the way everything was crafted did a wonderful job at getting you in the mind of Lucifer.

I liked being able to see Lucifer fall more and more; his thoughts took up the page and unnatural sentences showcased his madness (or whatever you might call it) really well.

I had initially not planned to read this when I did, but I felt the voices compelling me. I'm glad I listened. Parts of this story made me sad, happy, upset, disgusted, do a thousand yard stare. The works. I will also mention I took a two hour break because I started having an existential crisis while reading!

Reading the entire thing within 24 hours also helped me stay on top of what was happening. Hard to tell how much time truly passes up in Heaven, I guess.

Hopefully my Catholic Sunday school teacher doesn't remember me. I think she'd hate me (probably already does) for this. Welp!

Favorite Quote
"'You're paradise to me, Michael. And you're not like the others.' Lucifer moved his hand to his friend's curls and scratched lightly at his scalp. 'Ambition in your eyes — strength and desire for more. You would be a king. When I take the Throne, you would love to sit on it with me, right? Or would you want to build an even larger one, so that we can settle it above the Most High's? You're starting to wonder it too, aren't you? What if there was no God, no Father? Only you and me, who are like Him, who together are greater than Him? We could be kings, gods.'"
^ beautiful beautiful beautiful so amazing im even adding a second quote

"'Forgive me.' Michael's weighted gaze lifted. 'You're everything to me, the stars and the moons, the heat and the cold, the earth and the seeds, the waters and the flowers, but you are not God.'"
^ AHHHHHHHH

Did not finish book. Stopped at 14%.
This story takes too long to catch up with the prologue. Why. Why why why.
