Thank you NetGalley, Hallmark Publishing, and Lizzie Shane for this e-ARC in exchange for an honest review.
This actually took me over a month to finish. But, nonetheless, I still enjoyed it. It was a cute romance about friends turning to lovers, though they started off in the wrong foot, but it didn't last for long. The main characters are cute together, the side characters were cool.
Overall, 3.5 stars.
Apparently, there's a movie adaptation for this, so I'll definitely be checking that out too.

romance type: office romance, forbidden love
book type: standalone series
point of view: 1st pov, dual
I enjoyed the book. I liked the characters, Annie being my favourite. I liked Annie's humour. The other characters were also fun and humourous. The story was interesting and it's also a quick read. I'll definitely be checking out more of Piper Rayne's books.

Thank you NetGalley, Montlake, and Cathy Yardley for this e-ARC in exchange for an honest review.
It's a second chance romance between high school sweethearts who have been apart for 10 years and one party does not know why they even separated in the first place especially since it was during a crucial time for the break-up-ee then fast forward to 10 years after the break-up, the break-up-er requests the break-up-ee to do something for him (with something in exchange, of course). Need I say more?!
[P.S. break-up-ee is Emily and break-up-er is Vinh]
I love, love, love second chance romances! There's just something about it, you know? It's definitely the angst. Unfortunately, there wasn't that much angst in the book and it was more of a rom-com type.
There were so many LOL moments, likewhen Emily literally dropped the pie and ran when she saw Vinh . They all got their moments. The romance between Emily and Vinh is really cute.
Overall, 3.5 stars.

these type of tropes are definitely not my cup of tea, i suppose.
the writing was fine but i guess really big age gaps aren’t my thing. and i love office romances (especially the secret type) but this just didn’t hit well for me.
