I think one of the first things that I noticed while reading this book is how Leigh Bardugo's writing matured from the the Grisha trilogy. I enjoyed those books, but there is a noticeable difference in the quality of writing between those book and this one. I think this especially apparent in the way the characters were written. Again, that is not to say the characters in the trilogy were poorly written, just that the characters in this book were on a different level. The depth they were each given and their development was really spectacular. I also enjoy a good heist plot and this story definitely provided that. I think I would have really loved this book had I read it when I was bit younger and I can definitely see why so many people are in love with it. I think unfortunately for me I read this a little too late to become obsessed with it, but I am still glad that I read it and did have fun with it.

I don't really know what to say about this book since it is the fourth in the series. I will say though that the ending had me screaming. I love this world and particularly the characters, and the way that Samantha Shannon ended this book felt like a personal attack. I am terrified to find out just how long I am going to have to wait for book number five, because this might be one of the most frustrating cliff hangars I have read in a long while. That being said I do still genuinely love this series and I really enjoyed this entry, I think it's probably tied for my favorite in the series so far.
