π–πŽπ–. What a prequel!! This is the first book I have read of this series and obviously I will continue it. It was fantastic, compelling and tragic. There’s an enemies to lovers within this, and man, my emotions got the best of me at the end! It took me a couple days to come to terms with certain things… I hope to go forth understanding more as I continue this series. Ahhhh! πŸ’”

A retelling of Peter Pan and Wendy, a Reverse Harem that has vibes of: β€œtouch her and I’ll Un-alive you” along with a dark intensity that leaves you breathless. This book had it all!
A definite Enemies to lovers trope as well.
I loved the plot, the characters and the 🌢πŸ₯΅
I couldn’t put it down until the end, and I continued the series immediately after! If this is your kind of story, definitely pick this up!πŸ–€

It’s amazing!
Of course there’s tension between Cherry and Winnie as Cherry has trepidations going back to her brother, Hook.
Besides that, I love the ALL THE LOVE between the group that has now evolved and it’s something they all know they will have to work around. The 🌢πŸ₯΅ is fantastic and now I cannot wait for the 4th book!!!!

Great read! I haven’t sat and read a book in one to two sittings in a long while. The story engrossed me and I enjoyed it a lot!
It has a touch of the supernatural, and a touch of crime with a bit of suspense.
I did find myself very frustrated in the center of the story as we go through the lives of the ladies in the book club. Gah, the husbands are infuriating to say the least. I wanted to punch Carter in the face. I said what I said.
Patricia is a strong character who realizes that when the going gets tough, you just keep pushing forward. Her character builds and it’s great to see her become stronger towards the end. I love the friendships the ladies in the book club had between each other because it wasn’t perfect. It had ups and downs within friendships.
All around, it was a fun read!

✡When I find a crime book mixed with mystery, suspense and paranormal events, I immediately want to read it. When I find a book that has all this… PLUS written so well that I was glued to the story? Couldn’t stop. I loved the story, the plot, the characters and how everything evolved from 1977 tieing into the present. The peeks into the past relating to the present was gold. The Narrators of this audiobook were absolutely amazing! I loved everything about their voices and it sold the story.

I really enjoyed this.
The only thing keeping from a higher star is that I couldn’t stay engaged throughout the book the whole time. It took me awhile to finish it. I think because for me, the content felt heavy. I had to take a few mini breaks here and there.
It was refreshing reading a story about a mom going through the changes that come with raising kids and seeing them go out on their own and what the next steps are. Add the challenges with marriage, friendships and trying to find yourself and you have the ingredients for the most relatable content to mothers everywhere. And the best part? It isn’t only relatable to mothers, a lot of it is just finding yourself, and that alone aligns with any of us!
I found this story so relatable In so many ways that I had every emotion hit me at some point throughout the story.
Sadness, happiness, longing, understanding, coping and lack of confidence, along with some mad moments. Loved the experience with this book!
Terrific read!!

❣︎What can I say? It was fantastic to listen to this, especially with Leslie Jordan narrating this himself!
❣︎I picked this up right after his untimely passing and the world will surely be at a loss.
Learning about his background, how he grew up, his passions early on in his life, to his relationships with his mother, father, siblings, and neighbors.
❣︎He talks about time on set during the filming of certain films and shows.
And everything is always with a sense of humor!
❣︎I highly recommend listening to this, it brought some happy tears to my eyes, it was enlightening, positive, informative, funny, and tear jerking.
⁂Without further ado, Rest In Peace Leslie Jordan, thanks for the laughs!β™₯︎

Holy shiz balls.
This was absolutely great. It was such a fun read! It kept me invested and the ball just kept rolling. Woo, it was a doozy!
I thought the twist was good, maybe a bit predictable but it was still a moment of realization hitting.
I don’t want to give too much away, so I’m just leaving this vague but If you like detective stories, suspense & mystery stories, then I recommend this one!

Awesome!
Love his writing as always and this did not disappoint!
They do call it horror story but I wouldn’t necessarily put it into that context? It was more of a thrilling crime story to me. But, regardless, i loved the relationship between Jamie and his mom. I enjoyed the plot, the characters that entertained together and Jamie’s journey growing up while helping his mom and her detective β€œfriend.”
Overall great story and I really enjoyed it!!
