Secret Santa by Amy Tackett

I haven’t read a thriller this good in a hot minute!
I couldn’t put it down!
Two things were obvious to me: I knew who it was and I knew what happened. BUT at the end, those twists? Didn’t know THAT. That was a fun last 70 pages.
Loved all of it.
This was great, I’ll be reading her other books for sure!

The beginning of this story was a bit rough. It wasn’t written very smooth which had me wondering how the rest of the story would go.
Luckily, it got better as it went…?
Granted, Jeanie annoyed me throughout most of this. She was a very annoying person. And then somehow it changed and she wasn’t as annoying and it focused on her just being “super nice” to everyone.
The miscommunication trope always has me rolling my eyes. The idea that Jeanie came up with keeping things quiet and then, it’s been what, 4 short make out sessions means she’s obsessed and all of a sudden they need to be proving it to the town but then Noooo They can’t do that!? And then wait, no they should do that. wtf. Stop, just stop. Calm down. 🙄
Okay and at the end, IM SORRY NORMAN but that would’ve been a DEAL BREAKER if I was Aunt Dot. The audacityyyyyyy!! You send someone to threaten her niece in the middle of the night and break a window… and it’s just: “omg I love you though.”
RED MF FLAG. Bye Norman! Idc if it “went too far,” or it “wasn’t actually him though..” or “I didn’t mean for that to happen specifically…” I’m sorry, you still had the idea, the audacity and the stupidity to do that to someone else because you were jealous. Not to
Mention the other crap he did around the cafe to make things harder for Jeanie. Stfu right now.
ANYWAYS. Despite all of this messiness, and focusing on the rest of the storyline between Logan and Jeanie, it was okay. A nice fluff story about the two of them and having found her new friends. That stuff was cute and all good and dandy.
I’m still interested in book 2. Maybe that one is better.

The first line of this book, is what hooked me. No lie. “ I had only two things on my mind: cheese and how to get home.”
Of course my reaction to this is: YES GIRL. YEP. RE-LATEEEE-ABLE.
Naturally the rest of the book took off without a hitch. I loved it so much! I finished it in 2 days, (which is fantastic for me honestly).
The storyline was easy to follow, the flow was fast and things were straight to the point. To me, this story felt like a an adult version of a funny fairy-tale.
The book was fun, easy to read, fast paced, entertaining, funny, and had a great plot in the middle of it all. This will get added to my shelf for sure.

This was a fun book to read! Sometimes I really just like a ‘campfire feel’ short story. This compilation by Darcy Coates hit the spot! My favorites were: Ghost Camera, which was the first 100 pages; The Run to Broken Ridge Lighthouse, and Untamed Things. I liked all the stories, but these three were the best in my opinion. I kept thinking about them afterwards. Great storytelling!

A classic camp-slasher horror book? Sign me up!
I love this modern spin on a classic slasher. Cancel Culture meets Jason if you will.
Willow had some great character development among the chaos. I did tear up at a specific part and it ℎ𝑢𝑟𝑡.
In such a short time you are already in a mind fuck with the rest of the campers.
A few twists thrown in had me open mouthed, gaping like a fish out of water.
You will think you know… but I bet you don’t.
This is just what I needed to jump start my horror reading vibes for the next couple of months!
Super fun horror read, Makes me want to watch Friday The 13th again!

Loved this book so so much! As a mom I related to Lauren in the best of ways! There were situations that made me laugh, roll my eyes and laugh. It gave me all the emotions and more.

Cute story!!
Sam meets her new neighbor Asher in the worst way yet it becomes the best way. They move pretty fast but it’s seriously adorable. The gaming scene was just,👌🏻 and I loved the happiness between the two. She really hadn’t dated in awhile and he wasn’t the dating type and things just automatically clicked with the chemistry they had with one another.
They had a few great spicy scenes between them. The steam came off the 𝑝𝑎𝑔𝑒𝑒𝑒𝑒.
I will be reading the next book asap.

I loved this story so much!
I devoured this within a few days!

Lowe seemed quiet, patient, and more reserved with a passion for his packs well-being, his sisters safety and a fun personality. Mixing this with Misery’s fiery sass, an attitude to match and a big heart, gives fun banter and an entertaining twist of events.
The way Misery interacts with those who didn’t like her, was just great. Misery and Ana, (Lowe’s little sister), have such a vibe, I laughed almost every time they had an interaction.
This was such a fun read! I thoroughly enjoyed the adventure I was taken on.♡︎
