Here for the Wrong Reasons was a fun and action-packed (of the dating show variety) story that really had me giggling and kicking my feet the entire time. Krystin and Lauren were equally compelling characters! Very corny and silly, but it was my kind of corny and silly!

"Every two hours and twenty-five minutes, a woman in Mexico is strangled, raped, dismembered, burned alive, mutilated, beaten to a pulp, and left with bruises and broken bones. A woman's body, another woman. Some woman, a nameless woman. A lifeless body was found. But none of them was yours." p. 174

With brutally digestible language, Reservoir Bitches pulls no punches in unveiling the reality of violence toward woman in Mexico. A baker's dozen of interconnected stories cries out to you, begging and pleading for you to empathize with the women, ALL of the women, who live in fear for their lives.

While there were individual chapters that didn't feel as strongly written as others, the narrative as a whole was an impactful read.
