I really struggled to finish this book and at one point nearly stopped.

This book to me, came across as an angry 21 year old having a rant about life.
When I got to the acknowledgements I also realised that this book was a rehash of things she had read elsewhere.
This book may be useful for someone in their late teens however, I found some of the topics talked about seemed quite outdated with very little in the way of evidence to back this up other than Givens own opinion. From the very little evidence that was given, some was from 12 years ago which to me seems more than likely to be inadequate in backing up theory.
I think if Given had written this a few more years down the line with a lot more life experience this could have been a really good book to help young women starting out in the world, but this book just seems to have a lot of anger pinned on stereotypes whilst highlighting just how privileged she thinks she is.

Received this book in a wildwoman box and it's honestly the book I never knew I needed! Absolutely loved the way the book read with lots of insightful facts and figures as well as wonderful light bulb moments for me to understand how important being sad really is. I related a lot to this book and for those who enjoy reading books of self discovery and wellbeing content, I believe you will be pleasantly surprised that a book about being sad really can leave you uplifted!

Do not read on public transport!
Laugh out loud funny. Only thing I will say is that the book deserved a proper ending unrelated to the chapter they were writing about.
