i like this book way better than bradbury's other work. i enjoy the speculative nature of the writing and the way you have to fill in the gaps yourself a lot of the time. i can understand why this would put off other people but i enjoy it. minus 1 star for some weird shit about the underage girl.

i read this for the thinly veiled homoeroticism and it certainly delivered. it's classic lit which makes it a bit annoying to read and it's not a really well-written book either. the twists and turns are predictable but i didn't mind because vampires and wlw.

good true crime book but as all classic lit it's a bit laborious to get through. interesting either way

madeline miller is amazing at modernising greek mythology while staying true to narrative form/language used in ancient greek fables. the writing makes me go crazy. & as a history nerd i luv it even more
