I really wanted to like this and am fascinated by the novel’s concept but NOTHING is ever explained. We don’t know why anything’s happening, ever. That itself was so frustrating I have to give it 2 stars

The show did a remarkable job following the book, they’re almost identical. However, I found the show more enjoyable because the author’s style of writing favors telling instead of showing.

Also, I really didn’t appreciate the

casual sexual assault?? at the beginning that added nothing to the story at all and was completely unnecessary
