I don't know what to say about this story; it's just outrageous smut, a father brings his son to work, and his coworkers all have fun with him (oh and his uncle is involved, too). Like, look at that nom de plume and the title, it's ridiculous and I love it.

The whole gang bang/sharing is outside my usual comfort zone, but I've been in a smut (mostly) mood, so it worked for me.

Please do mind the TWs.

“Thank you. For loving this board game geek.”
“You made it too easy, Rossy Baby. I was powerless to resist you.”

Failing a Bluff Check is the first book in the Single Gamers Society series. We get a sweet fake dating story mixed in with a best friend's brother romance between Firass, a nerdy board game developer and bad boy musician Johnny.

Firass has always had a crush on his best friend's brother. He admired him and felt that he was way out of his league. Johnny has always wanted to leave his hometown and travel as a musician, but years later he decides to return home. It's a bit of an adjustment for him, especially with his younger brother Natie carrying some resentment and abandonment issues towards him. Johnny and Firass get a chance to reconnect and deepen their relationship when a wedding happens in which Firass needs a fake boyfriend to keep his nosey aunties at bay.

I enjoyed this story, I loved seeing Firass and Johnny getting to know one another as adults, becoming close as friends before shifting to lovers. The attraction and chemistry between them is strong but it takes time for them to get on the same page emotionally (Despite both of them having deep feelings for one another).

"I find myself thinking about him a lot. He’s not just my little brother’s bestie anymore. He’s more than my friend-with-benefits; he’s someone whose company I’ve grown to enjoy. I don’t only love his body when we have sex, but I also love his laugh, his chats when we eat, and simply being near me when we watch TV. I love the way he talks and how supportive he is to me and his friends. Come to think of it, I love everything about Firass."

Firass has valid concerns about Johnny leaving one day to go back on the road as a musician, so he's hesitant about confessing the depths of his feelings to him. Not to mention dealing with his best friend, who still seems to be super hostile towards his own brother, which is another layer of complications.

I loved the representation we get in Failing a Bluff Check. Firass is Bengali, and Johnny is Japanese! It was really nice to see both leading characters being men of colour, Asian specifically. The Muslim representation was also lovely. Out and proud queer Muslim people who have very accepting families exist. Every Muslim is different, and it's nice to see Muslim characters just existing like any other in gay romances.

Overall, I really enjoyed Failing a Bluff Check! I'm looking forward to the next book in the series, I need Natie to get his happy ever after.

“If you stay loyal to me, I’ll continue to indulge you even while I hurt you.”

Where to start? Under His Heel is a dark and depraved erotica. It has sadomasochism, master/slave, humiliation, grooming, brainwashing, stockholm syndrome, mind break, rape, body modification and more. There are many kinks in this book!

We have Alex, who has swindled and conned many people with his twin brother Nick. They decide to go after the wrong people and are caught. With a debt he could never pay off, he enters into an agreement to become a bondservant, basically a debt-leasing service. The owner of his contract - Captain Tracht - will pay off the debt, but he will belong to them for an agreed-upon time frame.
However, he never imagined he would become the bondservant to a twisted sick sadistic pervert.

Tracht is a sadist with low empathy who enjoys humiliation and gets off sexually to brutality. He is who he is; he does not change at all throughout the story. Any affection he has for Alex comes at the cost of his suffering. So don’t expect redemption or a hidden sweet side; he’s truly a fucked up and terrifying individual.

“The difficult part, Alex, is that the nature of my... perversities, as you called them once, is that the more I like you, the more I want to hurt you.”

“Alex. I also clearly remember telling you that my affection for you came with a desire to see you continue to suffer. Now, behave, or the rest of tonight will go a lot less pleasantly for you.”

“If I could do it without breaking you,” Tracht said, “I would flay your skin open. Have you suck me off afterwards, just like this, blood running down your back.”

He brainwashes and conditions him slowly using both physical and psychological methods. He breaks Alex down and puts him back together over and over again. Crafting him into his perfect bondservant.

No matter what happens to him with Tracht, you can't totally feel sorry for Alex. He has zero emotional intelligence, rude, crass, hotheaded, stupid to the point that you kind of pity him, gullible, and an all-round unlikable fella. Self-preservation? Who is she? Never heard of her.

It’s odd, but I think Alex being groomed and going through all that insanity with Tracht also allowed him to flourish and grow? As messed up as it sounds, he becomes more self-assured and confident. Don’t me get wrong, he still has issues, but I liked seeing him be able to stand up to people such as his brother. Also, in a way Alex comes to accept his fate because, let’s be honest, I think he’s better off with him and he knows it too. I also like how needy Alex becomes and how he starts to crave Tracht's attention and touches as well.

The sex was still mostly painful or humiliating for Alex, and he hated it in the moment, but Alex was kind of okay with his situation overall.

What affection or care we do see from Tracht is very much still twisted.

“The thing is…” Tracht continued, “I love watching him being humiliated. But I don’t enjoy somebody trying to force my hand in any way.” He let go of Alex and stepped away. “And I certainly refuse to allow a low-class scum of any sort touch my bondservant.”

“Alex. You’re going to put up with my ‘perverted stuff’ whether you want to or not. But you can rest assured that I have no intention of doing anything that would cause your loyalty to me to waver.”

This story heavily focused on the relationship between Alex and Tracht. So I would say if you're looking for a deeper story outside of their relationship this book is not the one. However, I do like the world building we get as it allows us to have an idea of universe this story takes place in.

There's a couple of really really dark and fucked up scenes in this book that I won't go into but let's say that people like to dish out their own uh punishments when they are wronged. Law? Police? Nope.

Is there any romance? I would say not really at least in the traditional sense but I do think as their story continues their relationship will become more than just bondservant and master.

Overall I enjoyed and loved Under His Heel! It hit all my darker cravings and I can't believe I waited so long to read it. I can’t wait to read the next books in the series. Please please check trigger warnings if you are interested, this book is not for everyone.

Hunter is hungry for his little brother Zayden. When he sees him sleeping so deeply next to him, he can’t resist; he’s always wanted his brother to be inside him. Zayden thinks he’s dreaming when he wakes up to his brother riding and kissing him, but nope.

This one was a little more kinky as it had elements of dubcon and somnophilia. It was super hot, and I enjoyed it as well! They address the whole situation, but Zayden is very much onboard and in love with his brother and needs a repeat in the future. Overall, it's a fun, kinky incest novelette.

Owen has a little problem and decides to get a digitally controlled cock cage to help him, but somehow, hackers have control of it and extort him for money. His big brother comes to figure out what's happening, but things get heated quickly.

This one was funny and hot. Getting your cock cage controlled by hackers? It was a super short, smutty, taboo incest read. Overall, I enjoyed it!

Embracing the Dark Side has to be one of my favourites from Becca Vale because of how needy and sweet the brothers are. It’s super sweet and hot! I love how Ryan is super protective of his brother Ben.

Ben is scared of the dark, and when a storm knocks out the power, he clings to his older brother seeking protection. Ryan is not gay, so there are very strong gay-for-you vibes there. He only has eyes for his little brother.

Overall, I enjoyed it! It was a steamy and sweet novelette.

Twins Caleb and Lucas are super close. Caleb, the younger twin, is an out and proud gay man and has dealt with homophobes growing up. Since Lucas is bigger and stronger (plus an MMA fighter), he has taken on a protective role.
Caleb is an artist but has recently been dealing with a stalker. Lucas steps in as his fake boyfriend for his art show. However, what may have started as a cover has become something real.

Fake it Until You Make It is another short but cute twincest story from Becca Vale. I enjoyed it. There’s no real plot; it’s mainly erotica but also sweet. Overall, I enjoyed it!

We have twins Shane and Sammy who decide to play a drinking game called “Drink or Dare” and sprinkle in some Daddy kink, and well, things get out of control fast.

Another short and hot twincest story from Becca Vale! I really enjoyed it, as with all her others. While it’s an erotica with literally zero plot, it’s hot and sweet! The twins get a lovely HEA.

Brothers Theo and Liam get into a car crash. What caused it? Liam’s sudden confession to his older brother. Theo receives the brunt of the injuries, but everyone is okay. However, Theo knows he needs to address his little brother’s confession and feelings for him.

This was a short but hot incest read. Honestly, it was super cute and sweet with no angst. It's a nice novelette in between heavier and longer reads. The brothers get on the same page regarding their feelings and get a lovely HEA.

Travis and Tyler are identical twins, but Travis has gotten several piercings over the years. His most recent one? The guiche. The brothers are close but get closer when Travis wants to show it off, and well, things escalate.

This one was another short and hot twincest story. I enjoyed and wished, as with all of Becca’s stories, that they were longer (because I need more).
