Just wow, there’s not much I can say without giving spoilers so I won’t say much. It’s been like 3 days since I finished this book and I can’t stop thinking about it. I full on recommed it to read the whole trilogy (book 2 was hard though).

I’m still mad and upset with some characters, there are things you don’t forget nor stops hurting, no matter how much time passes or what they do to apoligize.

I love this author’s characters, their development troughout the books is always really good (except in her “The Tie That Binds” book, post a review on that already so no further comments just don’t read it). I’ll now continue with my quest to read all the author’s book, hope they’re all as good as this.

Everything was going so well, I was liking this book until we got to around 60% and I started to get really angry and annoyed at the characters even though I was understanding their reasons and all. Even I couldn’t overlook things (and, for Cora Reilly fans, I loved Lucca for a whole while), this book goes more and more downhill.

  • Resuming this angry note on it: I’m really happy this wasn’t my first contact with the author, I read “Forever After All” and fell in love with her, that’s why I’ve been reading everything in the order she recommended on her site. What I liked most in the books I’ve read so far was her character development and all that, you can feel she really thought about them while writing + even though I don’t really like feeling angry, she’s always able to make me feel so much, some bad feelings but mostly good. Well, none of this was the case here, I’ll get more into some parts to explain my point better but I don’t have it in me to re-live everything.

I liked their goals and the ending but the way there was so badly executed. I don’t know if it was the author’s intention or not but it completely cut all my excitement, ruining even the things I’d be fully enjoying.

I read this in a day so I considered it very fast-paced with really flawed characters and no development of them whatsoever. It had SO MUCH potential, the story and the characters had such space to be good and it was all ruined. Guess the book was so plot-driven that ir forgot we should love the characters or something. You’d never think he’s 32 and she’s 22 considering how fucking fickle he is, seriously, he’s so immature for someone that’s 10 years older than her and claims to have lived a lot. Alyssa begged him to at least communicate and he can’t even do it AT ALL. I got all giddy at so many moments but the good things were overshadowed by all of these plenty of irritating ones. By the end of the book I was enraged.

Weirdly enough for me (since I always have a clear view of who I liked/loved/disliked) there’s no one in particular that comes to my mind by the end of it. Before 60% I’d say Alyssa was my fav character. Throughout the book she handed things very well, was a super girl boss in every way, took all the ‘right’ choices and gave the best advices. By the end she continued being  always completely honest with everyone (which it’s her best part) but with the heartbreak she was making decisions I couldn’t see her doing no matter what.
She was beggin for a man that was making it clear in every way possible he didn’t want her
, it pissed me off through the whole end bc that just wasn’t the character we were following until 60% or so, if it was, I wouldn't have like her at all. I don't even have strenght to talk more about this book.

I do have to say I'll just pretend this potential story didn't go to waste and that I never even seen this book, moving on to the next according to her recommended order. I've already read Forever After All and the whole Stolen Moments trilogy. This one wasn't for me but I'll move on to the next, by the end of the week I'll give my review on "Until You" (the first in the standalone series "Off-Limits").

 3.8 i-love-Carter ⭐'s

Again, I'm writing this after finishing the whole trilogy so I have influences therefore I won't be saying much.

Here we have the Carter, Milly, Kate and Asher in college. I had to mention Asher because I love him and I had to mention Kate because I HATE HER. Truly, this book even seems too focused on her a lot of times. I swear, if it wasn't for the whole focus on her and the things mom Helen does in the end, this would be at least 4.75 stars.

This is my 3rd book by this author and I can totally say she's a good character builder. I'll briefly say that I love Carter and Milly, I love how their relashionship works. They are always very mature with things and very honest, you can see and feel the difference from the beginning (first book). Considering everything that was happening, they were brave enough to do "the right thing" with what they had. Honestly, I hated the ending but it was the best ending for them here.
For those who read it, come to discuss with me if you want, I'd love to talk about it.

NOW, let's go to what made me not love this book: KATE, the real devil after all.
Since  the first book we've been having a lot of signs that this girl should go to the therapist from the moment Milly appeared. She doesn't know how to deal with her feelings and she takes all the wrong choices. That was shown clearly in the first book and EVERYONE noticed it. But now she's in college, why would people assume everyhting would suddently be ok with her? This time her bad decisions are worse.
From the perspective of the character, it all made sense but it ruined my moments and I'm not going further to avoid spoilers but I could go hours talking bout her.
Ok that she was addicted and all but all her attitude started in the last book, now I just hate her MORE

I'm writing this after finishing the whole trilogy so my I have influences therefore I won't be saying much.
I picked up this book after reading "Forever After All" by this author and decided I want more, couldn't be happier I came to this one (following the author's order). Even though it's fun to see an innocent love and seeing the characters understand their own feelings, I really hated
the ending: I'm a sucker for happy endings and this was definetely not it.

I got really annoyed by Kate, that's why I'm not giving 5 stars to this. This kid need a theraphist like years ago. I kinda liked the other main characters, bothe male and female were equally liked here.
I know I loved this book by how truly fast I read it. Crazy me.

Sinnerland march book

I read this real fast, I got addicted. I literally read while working. I loved the story, the characters, everything. There was a good development of characters and story. The author didn’t rush into it, I felt every action made sense with the character and everything was adding up. Though I gave a five for characters, story and reading, my rate couldn’t go there because in lots of moments I noticed I got lost on how the charactes were moving.
I’ll try to explain… there moments when he ‘felt to his knees’ and after a few words he was hugging her and kissing but there wasn’t a ‘he got up and hugged me”. How is she up, he’s on his knees with his hands around her neck? That took me out of the story sometimes and made me re-read at least 6 times very slowly to make sure I wasn’t missing anything. I know it’s something most people doesn’t even care BUT I hate it.

Now, instead of writing bout the character I hated the most I just have to say I just don't buy Jennifer's ending. **SPOILER HERE**
I do believe in the story that he just loved the idea of her. It makes sense specially bc earlier in the story he asks himslef what did he see in her and how he doesn't really understand why he loved her so much. Also, I do understand the 'u didn't give me the love I wanted so I tried with other person' but I'll never feel sorry for her. I felt the the author might've wanted that but no way. She began to enter his world and exchanged him for someone that she knew didn't like him. Worst, she cheated. And now she says what Elena did saved her. That really feels like she wants pity specially after her saying that she loves him that's why she wants him to persue Elena to be truly happy. Well, not mine

Weirdly enough my fav character was the heroine (how often does that happen? hahahah), Elena. I believe her development troughout hte history was well made, she is very kind, she knows how to stand up to herself according to the situations. We, readers, can see how pure her heart is but even though she seems really naive and innocent you know that she’ll change once people show her they’re ‘hopeless’ and that’s what happens. We were shown all of her sides and they all went accordingly to the character. She’s my favorite but all are loveable and well built.

No matter what, I loved this so much I'm gonna start reading another book of the author right away.
