4.5. I really liked this one. I’ve been similar to the person she describes and it feels good to see some of the behaviors I do attributed as normal & “doing me.” I think everyone wants to be themselves and shirk the expectations and heaviness that come with today’s society. A well written read true to Knight style that doesn’t disappoint.

2.5. This book was recommended to me. I liked it fine but I feel like the way he treats her is kind of shitty and she’s just supposed to be ok with it because she “has nowhere else to go.” Not a great model for a relationship although it ends up working out once he deals with what he has to in order to get out from under someone’s grasp, so to speak.

What a well written, thought provoking book. She brings up many great points and I think everyone could benefit from reading it in this day and age.

I have always loved Chelsea handler. I admire how she’s herself, says what she wants, but in a way that’s not aggressive or mean. And how she’s constantly learning and not afraid to admit when she doesn’t know something & seek out those who do. This book was a great journey and so different from the rest in such a meaningful way. You got to see her peel back some layers and face some issues she’s had and I think that’s admirable.

This book takes you on a journey that feels like a fairy tale, reads like magical realism, and takes you on many different turns. I really liked the twist at the end when you find out what really happened to the girl. I also though the closing paragraph was so fitting for the story as well. The characters in the book were great and I loved how interconnected it was.

Well, considering I started and finished this book last night, that should tell you a lot. However, this book is amazing. I loved everything about it and it pretty much sums up my feelings on a lot of things about life. I think everyone should read this!

**Second review*** The first time I read this book, it moved and interested me so much I devoured it in one sitting. This time, I took it slower and really took it in, as it resonates with my journey so much. This book is one of the all time greats in my opinion because it encourages you to live your dream despite how much the people in this world tell you not to because it's not the "safe thing to do." It's a book I see myself re-reading multiple times.

I love every detail of this book. The characterization is so vivid and rich that you can't help but feel for them at every turn. And I just love how bad ass the ending is where Harry taunts Voldemort...among many other things.

It's rare that a book both breaks your heart and inspires you at the same time; I know I cried several times while reading it. Hinton's story made me deeply sad that stories like this happen all the time, but rarely do they work out. But it also shows the power of your mind and what hope can do for you even in the most dire and grim circumstances. This book has a lot to teach and I definitely mark it as a must-read.

I think this might’ve been my favorite to reread so far. And by far the movie that missed the most. I loved the romantic tension between Ron & Hermione and then how Harry & Ginny finally get together. The aftermath of Dumbledore’s death and how there was a mini battle between the Death Eaters and the Order. And the memories and how the meetings with Dumbledore went. Just everything
