Ah I love this book. Miss Jackson does it again, she just leaves lil breadcrumbs that I think nothing of and then they make so much sense by the end, masterful writing. Buttttttt do I think the ending was a bit rushed, yeah which is a shame cuz if it was just slightly longer it would have been perfect. Ah anyway, fuck you Oliver, that being said tho I did love his and everyone else deteriorating mental states, with each character having a moment where they kind of crack and it’s just so realistic and perfectly executed.

This book is just genuinely cute. I can’t find much fault in the main characters, especially Marcus (shocker because Julia has a bit of a weird streak with writing men). It was just a cute relaxing love story, super easy to read with lovable characters. I didn’t even intend to read the Smythe-Smith series but it’s just so good I have to. I would describe this book as Bridgerton but more goofy.

This book is honestly such a heartwarming end to the series, particularly violets epilogue. It was beautiful written and very bitter sweet.

I am broken, so well and truly broken. The progression of Achilles character is so interesting and
to see the gut wrenching deterioration of his character after his lovers death is fascinating. Patrchillies you have my whole soul, your love for that man was not deserved (controversial Ik but Achilles became a shell of the man he was during that war).
this book is just *chefs kiss* never stop doing what you’re doing Madeline

I am a broken woman and Holly Jackson you are a mastermind. This book is so much darker than the others which is wild cuz the other ones were dark af. I love you Ravi, I love you pip. I love pips character, being so relatable but not to the point where she’s a blank slate. Jackson also really knows how to write in a way that projects the fear and tension onto the reader and I need to get my heart rate checked because of it. I could not recommend this book and the series enough

I liked the book and I really did like the ending but when it’s compared to its counterpart I have to say it’s quite lack lustre. I feel as if a lot of the plot points that make the book interesting were left for the final 60 pages and prior to that it was simply okay. Still love my guy Ravi tho 🫶

First 4.5 in the year so big honour here. Points were taken away from the sheer cringe of pip sometimes, only really at the start but I won’t forgive her for some diabolical behaviours

This book was such a whirlwind, I genuinely think I have whiplash. What? But in a good way. I was so stressed out and panicked when reading this book, Jesus Christ those last like 30 pages had so many plot twist,  the plot was interesting (a little silly I must admit) but I just wanted a cute lil romance, now I need to get my blood pressure checked. Also so many kids man dang, chill it out a lil. I liked the book, truly, I was captivated by it but it did lack a little compared to the book before it (which still had tension and mystery but not to this extreme). Honestly I’m just sad the series is over :(

I really enjoyed this book, I think it had a certain flare that the other books didn’t have. Do I think Gareth could be a bit cringe? Yes and I do feel like the book was mostly focused on his character with aspects of hyacinths character slipping through the cracks a little but I genuinely couldn’t put it down, it had this additional plot that just made the book so much more interesting then its counterparts. It might not be the best couple in the series but by far the most compelling book <3

Omg Julia Quinn you can actually write a man who is normal, I thank you. I have been starving for a semi sane man for so long and now I am so fulfilled, I love you Michael and I adore the message of this book. Chefs kisses
