I was intrigued by the basic premise of this book (younger sister is engaged to a duke, but she runs off so the dutiful oldest sister takes her place and marries him to save the family name and fortune instead). However, there was too many things in here and I found myself thinking several times during my reading: where exactly is this all leading to?! I think it would have been better had the mistaken identity plot lasted a bit longer, we dropped the mystery around his dead brother and left the mistress behind.
Also, I didn’t care at all for the drugging so you can get an heir storyline
I generally feel like my time was wasted, especially since it’s almost the end of the year. Finding out how this book ends from other reviewers confirmed for me that I don’t need to be wasting any more precious time on this particular book.

A HUGE red flag for me is when the author referred to social security and Medicare as “entitlement programs” and not government benefits.  Also, stupid me didn’t see the written endorsement of the completely racist and stupid person known as “Tucker Carlson.” I already know a lot of the arguments that were made in this book, so I, not really interested in continuing.
