Reading this as an adult did NOT hold up to when I was a feral teenager but I’m gonna give it a 4 because I literally had a cardboard cutout of Edward Cullen in my room for 3 years.

I listened to this on Audible. The narrator was FANTASTIC- one of the best I’ve heard. The book, however, is a different story. 

I read this because I loved the show. It is literally NOTHING like it so don’t even bother to give it a try
The first part was great- the plot & characters kept me going. Super heavy on Catholicism, but had an amazing Rabbi character. The second half felt like it was an excuse to be misogynistic, homophobic, xenophobic, and when they got to New York City it became  SUPER islamophobic. There’s also a graphic gangr*pe not imperative to the plot.
