Would I enjoy this book a lot if I haven’t read From Blood and Ash? Yes!
Did i enjoy it now, when I read FBAA, not really! The book was so slow and repetitive without any actual world building that saying “oh this is annoying” has been said a lot while reading.

I enjoyed the relationship of the two main characters but Sera was written as a pick me girl in a lot of chapters and i hated it because she is such a BAD ASS! But the childish behavior was, yes, annoying. Its a NA fantasy right? I felt like spice in this book was the only NA or Adult theme. Annoying!

I just wished it would be more! It could’ve been so much more! I mean if all the next books are that boring it’s just not worth my time.

I hope I change my mind tho!

Heart of a Witch had me on the edge of my seat for the whole ride!

I absolutely loved the anti heroine in this story and the lengths she goes to for her revenge.
This is full send enemies to lovers with witches vs. witch-hunters in a worlds of narrow minded people.

The story development was so intense, but so good!

I don't want to spoil anything by talking about it more because you should go blind into this for a better experience!

I would definitely recommend if you love: witches, strong female mc, enemies to lovers, romance, revenges and cuddly snakes.

Listen,

I am a super fan of Zodiac Academy all together but this book.. was not the best one of the series.

Things I liked:
Even if there was not too much story development, I liked it. Darcy and Tory were happy for at least a bit in this book. The different characters povs and their development, NICE. The build up till the last chapters.

Things I didn’t like:
And the mostly the freaking miscommunication between everybody, like making so much more problems for themselves, and not listening to the actual important thinks like strange prophecies and voices out of nowhere... It was just a tat frustrating reading it, I skipped a lot of useless dialogue. And honestly the cliffhanger was bad but, I mean there is another book coming and everyone is in a pickle, so it's going to be a rescue mission book obviously.

It was a bit predictable in the beginning..
I might change my mind when I re-read everything before last book comes out but for now.. meh

~ARC Review~

The second book in the The Shadow Realm series and honestly, it hit the home run for me AGAIN. I rated A Shadow in the Reaping 5 stars and this one would be 6/5⭐️.

It's written in such a lighthearted and fun way, we follow vampire Lu again and her AMAZING & HILARIOUS inner monologues and demon Ashen and his broody personality. We see how they manage themselves after the heartbreaking cliffhanger in the first book! And it's done so, so, so nicely. The secondary characters are playing a bigger role in this book and you fall in love with them so quickly! I honesty can't wait to ream more about everyone in the next book. The authors sense of humour is freaking on point, I spend a lot of the time laughing out loud like an idiot. I just love your writing Brynne!

Brynne turned the spice tap ON in this book and I LOVED it

Very solid Beauty & The Beast / Hades & Persephone retelling. It was very slow burn for me to be honest and I had to battle through the most of the book.

I still enjoyed the read but, it took me a loooong time to finish, because I kept picking up something else instead.

I mean all the tropes that we love so much are there...

I don’t know, maybe I have to re-read it one day and I would like it more.

Oh I just love books that surprise me in the end! Good start to get sucked in the dark academia books xD.

This book was an adventure, a mystery, and oh boy I want to know more more more more!

Even a few VERY disturbing part of the book could not not make me love it. Very cool how the whole Yale, secret societies, paranormal and magic comes together in the story and I very much enjoyed everything!

what a ride!

Every book in this series would be an easy 5 stars for me anyways so this one is no exception.

I LOVED the plot! We find out so much more about Aria and Knox and people around them. I don’t know what Amelia puts in those books of hers but I just can’t stop reading it and enjoy it.

I feel like this book was also a brave way for the author to deal with her bad year last year and I only can applaud it. I felt every single hurt and loss reading it.

Love how Aria grew some lady balls and was not giving a damn about Knoxes tamper tantrums anymore even if we learn so much about him in this book as well. I did not necessarily loved him throughout the first books but this one obviously made me fall head over heels.

The only 2 thinks or a minor criticism:
1. there were a lot of spelling mistakes and even I could pick them out throughout the book (English is not my mother-tongue, so it says a lot). BUT I ALSO DIDN’T WANT TO WAIT ANY LONGER FOR IT TO BE RELEASED SO I GUESS IT IS A PICK YOUR BATTLES SITUATION. and I would pick reading this book over waiting for it to be edited better.
2. I missed the sexy times! Amelia! I know this book was about the healing and rebuilding the relationships but COMEON! give us a little bit more of it in the next one, yeees?

But honestly, loved the book! I was pushing myself to read it slowly so I did't run out of it so fast! Thats how much I love that we are back in the nine realms and the shit is about to go down!
