As is often with my book choices lately, good premise with a shaky follow through. Plot lines were left hanging and it felt unintentional, like they were simply forgotten about. In-depth details about characters were given only for them to hardly be mentioned again, and the climactic moments often ended abruptly with little actually occurring, only a summary of what happened later.

This one didn’t hit the mark for me unfortunately. The characters felt one dimensional and there were far too many for the scale of the book. The monsters felt unexplained and not as scary as I’d like. The premise was good but just not enough meat, or quality meat at least, to back it.
