i wasn’t really impressed with this book. even though aciman’s writing style is so beautiful & i love reading this the book was just sort of boring. the story felt just a bit unnecessary to the whole as a serie. the only part that i was truly invested in was the elio and oliver part (which was also the shortest). even though i loved reading about these characters again the book just felt unnecessary.

this book is so beautiful and heartbreaking at the same time. i had watched the movie many times before reading the book so i had quite high expectations, which the book full-filled. i felt a bond with every single one of the characters and i loved them all so much. truly such a special story.

this book was pretty good. the writing was beautiful and i think the fig tree passage is truly incredible and will always be one of my favorites. i just didn’t feel any connection or liking towards esther. the mental health aspect was very relatable at points which were also beautifully written. i truly get why it is a classic, it was a good read but it wasn’t revolutionary or life changing to me.

after all these years of loving the movies i finally decided to read the book, and it did not disappoint. the story is overall just so incredible and so twisted. i loved reading about the extra details that weren’t included in the movie, which made the book extra special to me. while i obviously knew what’d happen and how the book would end, it did keep me hooked the whole way. i really loved this book so much and can’t wait to read the other parts.

this book was incredible. it got me hooked from the start and i loved every second of it. it felt like a rollercoaster of emotions while breaking my heart a little bit more page. the characters were all very well written, i loved the development they went through. i felt very drawn to them all even though they were all very annoying at times, i think is what truly made the book. i’ve never read shakespeare or know anything about him and got confused at some parts when they were quoting his plays, luckily it did not interfere a lot with the overall story and it was readable. overall a very great book.

a fun, quick, easy read. it was very well written, while its such a short book, the message of the book was very beautiful, clear and powerful and i really liked that about it.
