I love watching the Forger family and their shenanigans as they morph from a fake family into something more real. I like how this volume delved a little more into Loid’s work but I definitely had a few issues. 1.) Loid’s cover for hiding his mission from his family was ridiculously flimsy and too goofy for my tastes. 2.) I dislike how Yor is being downgraded into a rather dumb character that’s a bit of a pushover. She’s supposed to be this bad a** assassin and she’s falling into an air headed female category that I’m not a fan of. Despite those complaints, I’m still enjoying the series and plan on continuing forward!

Did not finish book. Stopped at 14%.
The writing style was just not for me. I really like the movie adaptation of this novel but the book itself is a no for me.

This read is simultaneously inspiring and informative. A story about immigration and overcoming a multitude of hardships, it is an enjoyable read and a look into the life of a man who many only know as Shang-Chi. Sad, funny and full of heart, this was an incredible memoir and definitely worth the read (I highly recommend the audiobook read by the author himself).

As always, I’m impressed by this series. This volume focuses a lot on mental health and I think it handled the topic with a lot of care and understanding without glossing over things or glamorizing it in any way. Definitely can’t wait for volume 5.

Reading this at nine months pregnant and I feel like I’ve glimpsed the future and it is both hilarious and terrifying. This comic was just a joy to read and definitely mixed some cute comedy with some very realistic slice of life moments. A must read for parents who are looking for something to relate to. The illustrations are perfect and the humor very spot on.

I can’t believe that I’ve put off reading this book for so long. I love the movie adaptation and I know that Adams has the same dry and witty humor as Pratchett but for some reason, I had convinced myself that this book would be difficult and long winded. It wasn’t. This is the first in five novels and I enjoyed every ridiculous second of the wild adventure undertaken by Arthur and friends after the fully planned out yet still unexpected destruction of Earth. Definitely recommend picking this up and can’t wait to continue the series!

I seriously love watching this little family evolve from a sham mission cover into something more real. While I’m questioning the introduction of Yori and his unhealthy feelings towards his sister, I’m adoring this series and can’t wait to continue!

This was such a cute read! I absolutely love Hazelwood’s work and this book was no exception. The romance between Elsie and Jack is both intense and complicated and the academic background that this tale is set against is fascinating and frustrating at the same time.

Thanks to NetGalley and Victory Editing NetGalley Co-Op for this ARC.

This was a spicy little fantasy novelette that was quite enjoyable for what it was. In it, we follow Ember, the princess of the Spring Seelie court as she is forced to participate in a mating ritual that she has no interest in. Instead of giving in to the Springfest Sprint, Ember has other plans up her sleeve, plans that are foiled when she stumbles upon an unexpectedly sexy unseelie.

Fun spice and and interesting concept although admittedly, I would have loved for this to have been elongated into a full novel and for the story, world and characters to have been fleshed out a little more. Monroe clearly has a full concept of her world planned out but in its current format, readers are dropped into the middle of an unexplained world and hierarchy which is both a tad bit confusing and a little frustrating since it forces the entire story to be crunched into a quick instalove tale.

Overall, this was a fun 4/5 star read for me and I would absolutely love to see longer works from Monroe in the future.
