Probably my favorite Cassandra Clare series in the Shadowhunter world and I think that is mainly because this is such a strong ensemble cast for me and my preferences. I read these series for the interpersonal melodrama and now we just have a larger cast to explore a lot of interpersonal relationships and friendships. I think for me and my tastes this introduction to this cast was extremely well done. I also loved how the love triangle was set up and where we will be taking this story in book 2. Also of all the shadowhunter books I have read up to this point, the threat of this novel felt the most intriguing to me.
