I genuinely loved this book! Such a fully imagined world, a examination of what it takes for a society to survive, both on a large scale, and the toll it takes on the individual. The way that the author showed the insidious power of ideas and communication... Just a quietly powerful read.

Another cute, spicy, HEA, with found family and those sexy alien tails!
I've devoured every book in this series and I find a different reason to love each one! The kids and the affection they had for their found family brought me to happy tears by the end, it was almost better than the spicy main characters' love story!
One point that bothered me about this book, the editing wasn't as careful as previous books. E.g. sometimes the subject wasn't clear or the POV shifted without a break. It was subtle and might not bother some readers, but I found it distracting. Did not damage my overall enjoyment, however!

This dark, emotional third book from the Death Gate Cyclewas just as richly imagined and engrossing as the previous books. The authors really are unmatched in their ability to create a universe so detailed that you feel it could exist, experiences so dark and emotional that your anxiety rises with the panicking Alfred! I'm intrigued by the deepening mystery of this "higher power" and can't wait to read about the world of water!

I've read this series so many times, and this book remains a fav! The hilarious bumbling wizard and the mysterious dragon totally make the book 🤣 The world building in this series is absolutely unmatched, read it to feel the her of the jungle, and the breath of the deadly titans at your neck...

This was the sweetest! Casey and Dima made me fall in love with their cozy, spicy/sweet romance, then they tore my heart out, then they "stitched" it back up (oh Dima and your sweet quilts and bunny slippers).
Jemma Croft has once again written a winner that has me fanning myself, reaching for tissues, and loling! I can't wait for the last flatmate to find their mate, please write more!

Love this series! Each one is spicy, garenteed HEA, beautiful found family bonds and second chances, with lovable characters and a fully developed alien universe to lose yourself in. I especially loved the alien hero in this one, Taranov was slightly sarcastic in an adorable way that set him apart.

This was an interesting, quick look into what drives a story and the nature of the mystery (and how people will consume that mystery!) King plays with the reader, giving details about the incident slowly so that you want to keep reading to figure out what happened! I loved the characters and the atmosphere. 4.5 stars because I don't think I would want to read it again, even though it was good, I wanted more.

Might be my new fav of the series! I love how each of these stories has a hot, loyal, tough, and extremely respectful alien warrior love interest. This one had more of a sense of humour and fun than some of the previous books, and I love that. I do wish they had explored the characters of the twins more, since each book is a standalone I know we probably won't return to those characters so it's a little sad! However, another winner: sexy, strong characters, adorable found family, excellent world building, what more could you want?
