Story felt a little drug out plot wise and could have been like 75 pgs shorter but I really love these characters and the plot was really addicting. I can’t wait to read more Lauren Asher books now!

Definitely my least favorite of the series. I didn’t really connect with Rose for some reason. Not sure what it was but this one just felt like there was no real connection between the two MCs and the plot was nonexistent.

Yall I really tried. I told myself I could finish it but every time I picked it up I was so bored. I couldn’t care about the characters. I couldn’t care about the war. I just could not care.

I liked this a lot more than many people of the internet. I think the kink was well represented and showed how it is supposed to be. The writing of the kink was a bit on the cringey side from the FMC’s perspective but reading from Lukas’ perspective was amazing. Ali always has the best MMCs and this book was no exception. I couldn’t care less about diving and swimming but the mental health discussions in this are so real and relatable.

Really good start to a series. If I were to read this as a standalone novella I would have wanted more but I’m glad there’s a series coming next. Really got me hooked on the characters and wanting to know what will happen next.

One of the most consequential books I’ve read in a very long time. I am so impressed at how Benjamin weaves together all of the critical pieces of this puzzle of justice in a way that highlights both how large the problems are and also how we can enact real change with her “viral” solutions.
