Couldn’t do it anymore. I was about to rage and sucker punch someone and Fiona being so naive just it was annoying and she was plain stupid at times and the energy she wanted to give wasn’t given, it low key was pedantic and it got on my nerves, I did like her at the beginning and here and there afterwards but not really and also what the fuck kinda insta love is that? The contradictions… Also I did spoil myself on this but who Nina turned out to be… I called it…. The drama for what? She didn’t sit well with me and was a bitch and for what? Viktor was meh with some good flags here and there but meh and Fiona’s friend was fine, low key gave push over energy at times but she was alright I guess. So I’m keeping my peace, I’m out. This book also didn’t help my reading funk and had not been in this reading funk I might have finished it but we’ll never know. Might read the other books or just read the other books by this author I want to read. So DNF

William and Colt
🤭😋🥰👀
I really can’t say much because I truly don’t want to spoil anything but this book 🔥 this series has been amazing and I’ve enjoyed greatly each book and this one isn’t the exception, I truly enjoyed this book so much. It was forbidden, it was lighthearted, fun, it was tense at times, the chemistry and tension between William and Colt through the roof, the constant back and forth, the we clearly want this but we shouldn’t, the denial, the push and pull, the is book was just so much fun and I really enjoyed it a lot, I loved both characters and I appreciated the slow burn of this book given the nature of relationship and how even though there wasn’t much spice, when there was spice it made sense and it hit. In this book we follow Colt who’s a bull rider and William who’s a doctor and one night in Seattle the two of them have a one night stand and thought that would be it but 2 years later William moves back to Cooper Lake and sees Colt again when Colt shows up to the hospital for a check up since he had previously gotten into an accident and because of the injury he was out of the bull ridding season and let’s just say that chemistry and tension they both felt that night might not be gone and have I mentioned that maybe that night shouldn’t have happened because William is Colt’s dad best friend? Like I said this book is just so good and I will leace you with that so please go read it August 30th when it comes out and if you haven’t started this series yet please do so, it truly is amazing and as for me, I can’t wait for the next book 🤭

I don’t rate novellas but I’m quite happy to have read this one, it was action packed, fun, insta love and a quick read plus this is my beginning journey with Jagger’s books and after hearing nothing but great things about his books, I’m excited to see what comes next. We’re off to a good start

This is in a way a sort of soft DNF, idk I wasn’t feeling the book and there was this one comment about ace being a tragedy early on that didn’t sit right with me and I’m fed up with this attitude you know? Just because I’m not sexually into you doesn’t mean I can’t be romantically into you, that’s another subject of matter, not feeling romantic attraction at all or rarely is called being aromantic not asexual, asexual is not feeling sexual attraction at all or rarely towards someone (both are spectrums) and you can be ace and have sex or not, you can be kinky, have a partner like no what’s a tragedy is the ignorance and the erasure of this sexuality and the phobia, like don’t be giving me this type of comments, they don’t age well at all, is ignorant and I have no patience for that bs. That being said I did keep reading after that because of our main character who identifies as ace (the comment I mentioned earlier about it being a tragedy that this character is ace was done by the LI who found this character attractive and said character had previously mentioned he thought he might be ace) yet is exploring what that entails and what it means to be ace yet the way it was worded when he explained that just idk there was just something about the way it was worded that made me side eye it yet I gave it the benefit of the doubt because of the reasons I previously mentioned, that this character is exploring and figuring out what it means and might not be fully informed on the matter and of course how being ace is a spectrum and is a journey and it can be hard to figure out yet I think I can’t look past the comment of ace being a tragedy so idk it just conflicted me and I’m just letting this one go. Maybe it would have gotten better as time went on but idk I just giving up on it for now

Kal and Elena
I’ve always been a fan of mythology and been specially drawn to Greek mythology so when I was looking for something to read and I came across this book and saw it was loosely based on Hades and Persephone I knew I had to read it and I’m so happy I did because I truly loved it. This book truly was such a good read and I had the best time with it. It was dark and emotional and fun and I found myself feeling happy and angry and I did shed tears I admit and my heart ached and it tugged at my heartstrings. I found myself like this 👁️👄👁️ at times and just the mystery woven through out got me intrigued and curious too. This book just took me for a rollercoaster ride and I willingly hopped on it. I loved both Elena and Kal and I found myself rooting for them always, I found myself cheering for Elena because you go Queen, and found myself swooning over Kal and I felt my heart hurt for both of them for all they’ve endured. Their journey Individually and together was just lovely to see and it put me through the wringer. These 2 are just soulmates and I loved seeing them get happily ever after in the end. Just hearing what Kal endured broke me, just how Elena and Kal loved each other, their bond, their passion, how fiery and in tune with each other they were, their deep love and bond. The so called Death and his Queen. The finding a home and peace and just a safe space in each other. Soulmates I tell you. This book was just wonderful and I truly enjoyed my time with it and I can’t wait to read the next book because that ending 👀 such a good set up for book 2. Overall this book was just so much fun and I had a blast reading it. While I wouldn’t say this book is dark dark it does have some darkness to it so do please check your tw/cw for this one if you need them.
PS: Elena’s parents can kindly get lost and go away because those 2 were vile and we don’t need that kind of trash energy here, no thank you ew 🤢 glad they got what they deserved though.
