The Soulmate by Sally Hepworth
Special Thanks to NetGalley and MacMillan Audio for providing me with an Audiobook copy of The Soulmate.
Other than being familiar with the genre, I went into this title blind. I feel like the experience is better for me that way. I thought this book was great. I love how not only does the story bring you in and take you on this journey that is intense on so many levels that literally had me on the edge of my seat and the characters on the edge in the story as well lol.
I love how the book had multiple point of views. In my opinion multiple POVs give the story and characters more depth. I appreciate that because it make the story more authentic (even though its fiction lol) and enjoyable to me. Both marriages had struggles which is also accurate in real life and I liked how the author depicted that in the story as well. I am not gonna lie though, I was not ready for the ending. The twists that take place in this book are totally unanticipated and will literally having you feeling like someone just pulled the floor from underneath you! But if you're like me, you love that experience when reading.
This was my first time reading a book by Sally Hepworth, I am looking forward to checking out more of her work. Overall, I really enjoyed reading this book and I appreciate very much the chance to read it. 4 stars.

“The Gallery of Disappearing Men” by Jonathan Papernick caught me by surprise! I was super excited when I got a copy. I pretty much went into this book blind, other than knowing it’s a “dark” novella. I was shocked at how taken I was by the book. The subject matter was so real and dark. I usually fly through books like this but I found myself taking my time and savoring this literary experience.
Mr. Papernick is an amazing story teller. Each story is different for the rest (obviously) but just as satisfying. The twists of magic and horror on top of disturbing environments and situations was great experience. I was definitely invested. I wish some stories were longer. I enjoyed each story individually and the book as a whole. I have already been recommending this book to friends and ordered a copy for my personal library. Good book! 4 stars!

Hear me out.
Okay. So this was another one of those that I was seeing all over the place. I saw some reviews saying it was disturbing, but damn. Usually I’m not this affected by dark and heavy subject matter. But I think I may have just found a subject I cannot vibe with….
Crazy to think something similar actually happened. This was intense read. I feel like I need to read something “light” now
If you are sensitive to child abuse, rape, kidnapping or things such as that, this probably is not the book for you.

Since I didn't get to review Book #1 of this series.... This 5-star review goes for Court of Thorns and Roses as well. I am really shocked at how much I am enjoying this series so far. Reading this series was a huge leap out of my comfort zone, but I am really glad I did it. With that said---
1. I strongly recommend this series.
2. I love me some Rhysand!!
3. I'm about to start book three lol!

The Passengers by John Marrs, was exactly what I needed this weekend!! A good emotionally/psychologically adventurous read. I wish I would have read it sooner. I was nervous it would be over done or boring but it wasn’t. The characters were great. Some parts I found myself so wrapped up that I was getting emotionally caught up along with them lol. There’s action, drama, and some “wig-snatching
